SPECULATION If the Jedi return, should Luke go for the rule of 2 approach?

Luke teaches her how to clear her mind and feels the tree sapling, very basic, and we already know she does not become a Jedi, she's just highly Force sensitive.

It was a sapling from a sanctuary tree from Endor grown from an acorn that Wicket gave her.

I think a good question to ask is why did Luke disappear from the public sphere? Not long after RotJ? It implies that in the books he was not really involved with the New Republic unlike the Old Jedi order (he probably understood the flaws of being tied too closely to politics) even before the rise of Kylo.

I'm fascinated to know what ancient secrets he found of the First Jedi Temple.

But thats the point - it keeps the Sith strong. The apprentice has to work and gain enough power, skill and knowledge to be able to kill the master. Its basically their version of the trials.

The Jedi are based largely on Samurai, one change I'd like to see moving forward in the Star Wars timeline is to see the Jedi de-centralized and multiple Jedi "orders" (for lack of a better word) and even Ronin Jedi (I also wonder if that was originally how Lucas saw them given Bail's lines about Obi-wan serving him in the Clone Wars).

Basically instead of a Galaxy wide Republic, we'd see the galaxy split many different regions - powerful individual systems or multiple systems banding together. Each/many/some of these regions could/would have their own group of Jedi - each with varying traditions but also many shared elements. Similar to how each Daimyo how their own Samurai loyal to them, with their own individual fighting systems, takes on Bushido and look, but with shared elements that applied to all Samurai regardless of loyality. Of course we could have Ronin/Wandering Jedi who don't serve any leader/system specifically.

I do not think that makes the Sith strong....at all. I get it that the apprentice needs to do that to become stronger. But what is the point if the Sith cannot accomplish what they want to and that apprentice will be killed by his own apprentice. That is not strong. Everything else you said is cool.
