SPOILER Information About Ridley's & Boyega's Characters

Maybe the super soldiers / space marines are lightsaber wielders now.

An extra (I know their real name and face) in Abu Dhabi said this (beware it wasn't natively in English, this is a not so great translation using Google)

 

I like it because it gives her character some grittiness even though she might come from a prominent family. If it opened with her living in her family's palatial penthouse, it wouldn't be as interesting. But they have her living in rough conditions which will probably give her some good perspective going forward. It's a good twist where the audience might not know who she is but then it's revealed as Han is introduced into the film. As Boyega's character is surprised, we (the unspoiled ) will be too. I also like the idea of her starting out as a badass rather than someone who's waiting for someone else to bring great things into her life because her current existence kind of sucks.

 

Then by the same token, may we assume that all of this is false?

 

The thing that makes me weary is that they cited LucasArts as their source. Which is strange to me.

 

Driver has been ordered to find Luke's apprentice which turns out to be Daisy. She would still be a Force sensitive to be Luke's apprentice, wouldn't she? Or it's been so long, she has forgotten?

 

The do we take it as true??? Or is the only thing confirmed/denied the Kira name?

LucasArts is, I believe, still handling the games... and by this point, they should have some things to work on for tie-ins, so... its possible the source could be from the game department speaking on things just in... not saying it is, but it is possible...

IF she is either a Skywalker or a Solo she would have piloting in her blood. If she is a Solo She has piloting in both sides of her family. She might become a better pilot than Anakin.

 

My theory based on concepts art, John's pictures and MSW reports of the opening of EP VII. Daisy is a Jedi and related to a Skywalker. John is a Jedi too. I think John has gone undercover as a stormtrooper/tie pilot based on the pic of him with Solo toy (I think he was being cute with the Han Solo toy and JJ may be pissed about it). Daisy is sent to the dessert planet to wait on John or find him or she is on a related mission. While she is their she is living in the AT At as a cover. Something goes wrong and John is shot down, maybe he is found out or caught stealing a secret or Luke's lightsaber from ANH and Empire ( I really doubt this to be true, I don't think any old lightsabers are showing up). Daisy has to rescue him. She brings him to the Falcon to transport back to where they came from. The adventure starts from here. What comes next, no idea. How the small alien plays in maybe a chance meeting like JAR JAR or a contact for Daisy. Cyborg old friend of Han who is now working with bad guys but appears to help or the new Lando type who appears to help then to betray only to really be helping. The art that shows the 2 in the cave surprised may be that they are surprised by what is happening not about the lightsaber or it is Luke's and they are surprised that John found it. I just don't buy into the old lightsaber rumor. I think it may have been in the story prior to JJ but I just don't see how anyone would have Luke's old saber. Also, the male in the art appears white another reason I think it may have been before JJ was hired.

Evidence to back up my theory. John's pic with the toy Solo. Rumors that John uses the force and has a blue lightsaber. Rumor that John is a stormtropper and is being chased. The art showing the Falcon and X-wing on the desert planet. The art that calls some of the vehicles falcon pod etc. The art that shows Daisy with her small droid. The latest rumor that the small droid conceals a lightsaber and the droid belongs to Daisy. The fact that all Star Wars movies have someone in disguise (Padme in Ep 1, Anakin in ep II, Palpy in Ep I-III, Han and Luke in Ep IV, Lando in Ep V, I know a stretch, Leia and Lando in Ep VI). The belief the movie will focus on a Skywalker child/children. This wold also follow ANH a little. As Leia has stolen planes and she has to be rescued after her ship is shot down by a Star Destroyer. I can see after the opening a tie fighter being shot at by a Star Destroyer and being chased by other Ties. We get our opening scene of the large ship in space and action right from the start.

Please feel free to rip my theory apart. I'm just a fan like the rest of you.

 

To be honest, I can't say I'm that keen on any of the young cast being Skywalker/Solo offspring. I'd rather the new characters were interesting and of consequence to the plot on their own merits.
It also just doesn't sit right with me, it's way too obvious to be of any value as a twist. And, for once, the "coincidentally small universe" problem doesn't apply here, because we can easily involve our old cast in any galactic shenanigans by virtue of the fact that Luke is/was the last of the Jedi, Leia is Princess Leia Organa of Alderaan, and between them they helped lead the rebellion which overthrew the evil Empire - if any kind of s**t is going down, they have a right to be interested and involved really, whether it is a family matter or not.

 

Well if you've heard Lucas talk about his concept for the story... it HAS to have Skywalkers in the 3rd trilogy. It's a Space Opera about their family.

Interesting... reminds me Jaina Solo and Jaden Korr, respectively. But I just hope Kira is indeed a Solo or Skywalker.

none of this is terribly revealing. i mean, we've all assumed that Boyega and Ridley are going to be flying around with light sabers, right? no one is really floored over this revelation, are they? we even knew the production name of Kira a while back. this feels like old new on a new post, if'n you ask me...
