SPECULATION Is the Kylo/Finn/Rey fight scene just a vision??

    My brother thought of this a couple months ago and at first I dismissed it. But it does sound more and more interesting. What do you think??

    Honestly, it would be a little "Age of Ultron" for me. The only visions we've really seen in SW so far have been brief and have had visual treatments to make it clear they weren't happening (I'm thinking of Anakin's wet dreams and Luke in the cave, mainly). This is a really extended scene so far and looks the same as all the other footage we've seen.

    Agreed, but it could be the big twist that nobody is expecting. I too at first thought no way, but I am liking the sound of it the more I think of it.

    Why stop there, at the end of episode 9 it cuts back to a close up of Yoda's face and as the camera pans out we see young ten year old Anakin standing in front of the Jedi council. Or better yet back to the sence in ROTS right before Anakin decides to relieve Sam Jackson of his hand. Now that would be just plain awful.

    I see no reason or evidence for it to be a vision. You could say anything in the trailers are visions. But you never know.

    Yes, you could say anything is a vision, but this is basically the only thing we think we have seen from the third act of this movie correct? So, maybe this isn't from the third act at all, yet its what Rey sees when she is with Maz and she has this vision and in it Finn is killed. This is what freaks her the hell out and she runs from Maz's castle. Would be a great way to keep the whole third act of this movie a complete surprise going in.

    Maybe. But I still don't think so. We are pretty sure they fight Kylo in the film anyway, so why does this have to be a vision? Why can't this be the fight itself? I haven't seen anything that makes me think this is a vision. Again, it could be, but I don't see evidence.

    And everything we have seen on the snow planet is likely third act, including the First Order speech, the TIEs fighting X-wings over the trench, and the falcon bursting out of the trees.

    I'm not saying this isn't the fight itself, but if you wanted to hide the main showdown and how it plays out...this would be the perfect way to do it. Have everyone thinking this is the climax where Finn/Rey take on Kylo and then when we see the movie we are completely surprised. We think we know a lot of the movie from tying the rumors and the clips together, but I think all the clips we have seen are just the rumors we have already heard for the most part. I think we're in for more than a few surprises...at least I hope so.

    But how different can it play out in the actual fight from what we see in the trailers? All we have really seen is Kylo and Finn with their lightsabers on and about to clash. What is there to surprise us with? A different setting? Day instead of night?

    Different or more characters in the actual climax fight....Or a completely different climax fight scene altogether.

    It may be from a thing like the The Dark Side Cave on Dagobah. But we don't know (until we see the movie or read the script).
    Finn must be breve or trying to save somebody if he tries to fight somebody trained with the force and lightsaber.
    So probably the scene should be either late in the movie with Finn trained as a Jedi or in the middle with Finn (and Rey?) training.
    But this is my thoughts on this, I can be wrong.;)
