in the world of the many ships, Rey/Poe is kinda an anomaly apparently.
i couldn't even find an "official" ship contraction.
closest i came to was one blog that calls it "Damerey".

if Rey and Poe were to get together, it would certainly be a surprise very few are expecting. : D

 

I'm more of a Reybacca kind of guy. I mean, those Porgs could totally pass for a human/wookiee hybrid.

I'd just like to point out that we're all assuming Rey or another woman, but "partner" isn't all that gender specific...

 

It would surprise me. Logically, Im sure they met off screen at the end but they hadn't on screen before. They would have a lot of snuggling to do in the TLJ to get that going.

That's almost exactly the difference between Harrison Ford and Carrie Fischer, though.

 

Yea... but not Han, and Leia. Hans late 20's at most in ANH according to the script.

 

Han and Leia have a 10 year age difference.....Han was almost 30 and Leia was 19 when they met in ANH.

Here are the canon age gaps:

Rey and Kylo= 10 year age gap
Rey and Poe= 12 1/2 year age gap
Rey and Finn= 5 year age gap

What can one say- she just might be into older guys.

If Poe is too old for Rey, so is Kylo since both age gaps run into double figures.... that just leaves Finn in the running, I guess.

 

Id rather Poe and Rey not get together. They've just said hi, it would be awkward and hard to sell believably.

If they'd interacted more in TFA and TLJ then yes.

 

It isn't the quantity of an interaction that matters, but the quality.....also, TFA took place over 2 days and TLJ took place over approximately another 2 days....at this rate, the whole trilogy might take place over one week (unless there is a longer time gap between TLJ and episode 9).

I don't think Finn and Kylo knowing Rey for 4 days longer than Poe is really going to make much of a difference f they interact more in episode 9....it finally depends on where the writers want to take their story.

Why does everyone have to ship a character with another one? Cant they just be a character with one simple mission without a romantic twist?

Of course I wasn’t alive when the OT saga came out, did those fans ship the characters? Maybe Han/Leia or Luke/Leia or possibly Luke/Ewok whatever.

 

Romance in the ST? I dont think it will happens.

I think Poe is into nobody ATM and everybody is into Poe.

 

Totall agree with you.We now had two movies and they don't have a connection.
