I don't see how the whole "poetry" thing holds up in this case. In Episode V, the one that supposedly rhymes "The Last Jedi," Yoda, Luke's master, is quite okay at the end of TESB. In Episode II there was also no death of master/father figure. All of that stuff happened in the first film of the trilogy (Qui Gon in TPM, Obi-wan in ANH and Han Solo in TFA.) If we hold to that poetry thing, then Luke is pretty safe.

That title could simply be talking about Luke Skywalker and nothing more

This is what Colin said a year ago. So, he already knew Luke and Leia live through VIII. Now, that can change for Leia if Lucasfilm decide to end her character and not recast the role, but for Luke? I highly doubt it, especially if they decide to finish Leia's story.

I cannot imagine a scenario in which Lucasfilm decides to kill all three original characters. It just doesn't make sense that you have to kill previous generation so the next one can step into the limelight. You don't kill (figuratively) parents, so that kids would grow up.

Before Carrie Fisher died, I believed Leia would live through the trilogy and I wasn't sure about Luke. Now, I highly suspect that Luke will live even beyond IX.

It is "obvious" that The Last Jedi is a Star Wars film because of it's use of the word Jedi in the title.

Other than that, not much is very obvious at all. ;)
