Jakku, book of wonders

This is a page dedicated to the probabaly most interesting and unique planet in the Star Wars galaxy.

Jakku is cold desert planet with diameter around 6500 kilometers and is simillar to real planet Mars 6700 km in both diameter and appearance.




-1000 years ago Jakku was wet fertile planet with large bodies of water, and forests but some past calamity turned it into a barren globe of scorched badlands and marching dunes

-Jakku was home to “The Anchorites”, a religion that aligned itself with the Jedi a millennia before the birth of the Empire. Over the course of the intervening years, Jakku’s oceans and vegetation disappeared, with the Anchorites likewise hardening and turning toward practices that aligned more closely with the Dark side of the Force.

-on the Plaintive Hand plateau of the planet a powerfull Force sensitive being lived, known as Consecrated eremite, while the planet was fertile.

-1000 standard years before the Battle of Yavin, an object, that Sheev Palpatine would later state was "significant a thousand years ago" and would become significant once again, was buried on the Plaintive Hand plateau on this planet."The object was an ancient data bank of a navigational computer we learned from Empire's end.
It's significance allowed the remnants of the Empire to flee to the unknown regions. It is certain this Devices served someone else ( likely a Dark siders) millenia ago to navigate their own pathways into unknown Regions.

-The Anchorites, which over millenia turned their practices toward Dark side( as the planet changed its surface into desert) raised children from a young age to use as slaves or to otherwise be brought into their order in other roles. One of these slaves was a young boy named Galli, which will became Gallius Rax.

-Lor San Tekka's village of Church of the Force believers (TFA) is on a Plaintive Hand plateau.

-despite its desert and almost lifeless surface,there is jet not explained hughe amount of Force at the Planet's Core,bringing to belief by some that the planet itself is "alive".This was something which disgusted Sheev Palpatine.

- Beneath the Observatory made on Plaintive Hand plateu by the Palpatine and the Empire, there was a shaft that descended into the very core of Jakku. While the surface of the planet was long dead, the core was still active with a spark of life essence Palpatine said “disgusted” him.

-Sheev Palpatine had Contingency plan, if the galaxy didn’t belong to him, then nobody could have it. The Contingency was to destroy all the remants of the Empire (and Republic forces to as much as possible) by lure them into final battle over the Jakku, after which Gallius Rax should destabilize planet's Core and make entire planet explode, destroying all around it.

Rumor: Jakku's planet core is made of pure Kyber crystal.

And Kyber crystals are in fact a unique form of life!

Please note Jakku is a planet introduced by a new Canon..

All the data in the opening post should be to my knowledge a Canon, except rumor it has Kyber crystal core which I noted separately, however in the Aftermath_ Empire's end it is clearly stated Planet core is "alive", mean it has great ammount of Force Energy stored in there in some way not yet understood by readers.

So the Canon is that Jakku is something more than ordinary planet it is far more than just a rock in the space like other planets.

I am thrilled about new findings and explanations about Jakku.
