I have a bad feeling about this.

 

Since it has been established that force sensitivity is hereditary, and that most force sensitive children are brought into the Jedi Order before they reach reproductive age (in TCW it is established that the jedi keep a list of every force sensitive baby in the republic, and when they reach the right age, bring them into the order), it stands to reason that if Jedi do not have sex at all, the Jedi order would have died out long before the events of the PT.

While it is well known that the Jedi are not allowed to form relationships, the few data points that we have about the personal lives of Jedi lead me to believe that they go ahead and do it anyway more frequently that is commonly believed. For example, we obviously know that Anakin fathered offspring, and that Obi-Wan and Duchess Satine had a relationship at one point. It was clear that Ahsoka had romantic interest in Lux Bonteri, but nothing ever became of that.

Based off the little information that is available on the topic, it is my assumption that Jedi do infact get frisky from time to time, but it is one of those things that most of them do, but nobody talks about, as they all know they really are not supposed to be partaking is such activities.

 

Hm... interesting concept posed. On your first point though, I find it rather hard to imagine Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, Dooku, and the rest as eunuchs.

maybe before being chosen as an apprentice they do Amish. a Jedi Rumspringa if you will. a test of will to se if they really are committed. but then again at that point it may be to late. as far as being force sensitive due to genetics... Jedi sperm banks. its a great deal think about it.

 

this has to be address because it seems like if your A male with the force you can breed the force with outsiders just think if palpitine was good looking do you not think he would want to breed the force with rasie a kid,could uncle owen have the force and wanted it to die dosent expose luke to the force to obi wan

That was a stupid addition to the prequels that is very obviously not part of the lore when the OT was being done.

If anything I would think abstaining from sex would be something Masters do but is not required of Knights. And with Masters there would still be tantric-esque like sex paths if one was so inclined. And what about alien species who HAVE to spawn, or die.. or what if they were endangered? You're telling me the 'greater good' is to let the sentient race die off for an ideal? Please.

They obviously aren't going to touch on all that in Star Wars stuff though.

Let's be honest here. Obi-Wan totally is lying when he says he wasn't involved with Duchess Satine. Sure, not a relationship, but Kenobi, man, you definitely had a one night stand with her.

 

Agree completely on that. If DNA was the only factor then at least one of the parents would have probably been a Jedi, and you would have had a lot of siblings also in the order.
