Is the Aftermath trilogy the only 3 books from Del Rey that will be set between ROTJ and TFA?? Since Episode VIII is coming May 26,2017. Can we expect a Journey to Episode VIII book series or trilogy to come around say Fall 2016 or early 2017? Or how about a Journey To Episode IX book series coming Fall 2018 or early 2019 if Episode IX comes out May 2019?

Let us go even further and expect a book series to possibly bridge Episode IX and Episode X of the fourth trilogy to come in 2020-2021. Del Rey has said they have no plans to do any more long book series like NJO and so I guess we could expect only Hardcover Trilogies to bridge each episode of the ST and maybe bridge the ST to the SST.

It is possible, no doubt. I think that it depends on the spacing between each movie of the ST. For example, the OT has a 3 year and a 1 year gap, meaning individual books, games, and mini-adventures in comics works best. In the PT, we have a 10 year gap, and then a 3 year gap, with the 3 year gap extensively covered in The Clone Wars TV series and continuing media coming out, like the unrealeased episodes on starwars.com and the Sone of Dathomir comic and the upcoming Dark Disciples. There hasn't been any canon media for the 10 year gap, so it could get the same treatment like the aftermath trilogy, but it all depends.
