KK hints at twins

Nice little read, interesting use of language answering some questions. KK what a woman, she gives me confidence where going to get a decent story. A lot of people forget about her, people thinking its all JJ but its not. She is his boss and probably in charge of the overall film we are going to get.

 

Can't imagine them being twins, the age difference between Adam Driver and Daisy Ridley is close to 10 years but who knows when it comes to films lol

 

I wouldn't necessarily look into the age difference too much. Actors with improbable age differences are often casted Parent and Child.

I mean, she was asked about it and gave a vague answer. She's not going to deny anything, that's equivalent to confirming something.

 

Good point. Spider-Man movies come to my mind with the casting of adults playing high school kids. Ages don't really matter when it comes to films.

Agreed, she said exactly nothing. In her own words:

I agree. But keep in mind Natalie portman in the prequels. She was 18, playing 14 in TPM and then 21 playing 24 AOTC.

As long as it isn't a 10 year old and a 30 year old, I think the audience can forgive it.

 

The only way I can buy Rey and Kylo being twins is if they're fraternal twins.

 

The question was specifically "Do twins tend to run in the Skywalker family?" If she had answered "no" then we would know they are not twins. If she had said "yes" then that means that they know for a fact that there are, or will be, twins at some point. She "artfully" dodged the question, as she said she would, by saying they "could." She told us exactly zero.

 

There's no twins except Luke and Leia.

 

If I say to you

And you say back to me
"It could."
It doesn't mean you're hinting at anything.
There wasn't even any editorializing there to say perhaps "then kk gave a knowing wink"
No. She just said "it's a possibility " aka "I'm not spoiling the movie for you clowns, wait till Dec 18th"

 

Boy/Girl twins are only fraternal, no such thing as indentical opposite sex twins, because genetics

 

Just a thought... long shot, probably not, unlikely but... bear with me.

Kylo has an identical twin.

The Rebel pilot that resembled Kylo, is his twin brother.

 

Please God let this be true.

She has A LOT more involvement in the story than people think. I believe the initial writing team for TFA was Kathleen Kennedy, Michael Ardnt and Simon Kinberg.. using George Lucas for advice when they were expanding the universe. Thats the way I read into it.. based on her comments in the interview with Lucas when it was sold. I assume most of JJ/Kasdan's writing involvement was converting the script into a screenplay.. while filling in the gaps for major story beats.

 

So true, so simple, so easy and yet so hard for some.
