I am still convinced that the lightsaber used by Luke at the end of the film was white.

Makes sense if he was a force projection.

    Oh, yes please!!!

Agreed, I would be happy with a vanilla single handed saber if it was yellow, orange, pink, white, really anything lol

This is the hope, cause she's carried it for this long. Surely she know she has the saber, I reckon it's hanging around for a reason.

Yeah for sure, like I was saying just above, I would love to see her using the force and heavily destroying and creating a double out of her staff. That would be really cool imo.

We see the idea that the Light and the Dark inevitably balance each other, that wherever one is strong the other rises to match it. Kylo’s rise in Darkness seems to have led to Rey’s rise as his Light counterpart. They’re even equally matched in power as beautifully illustrated when their fight over Luke’s light saber symbolically pulls it apart, representing the futility of the attempts of either the Light or the Dark to ever win out finally over the other.

Was the Kyber crystal still intact from Luke's old saber? Rey can still salvage that! Are Jedi required to construct their own lightsaber? She already has her staff, was she still have it at the end of TLJ?

The thing that makes me say a saberstaff rather than a lightsaber pike is that the pikes were made out of phrik alloy in order to have somewhat of a resistance to lightsabers. Still, she'd have an even easier time adjusting to such a weapon.

I don't get the point of a dual lightsaber. You always know where the other blade is, you need massive plot armor if you are outnumbered. If you have two individual weapons you have still an disadvantage because the opponent has two hands on the grip when blocking. There are reasons why in the saber fights the most successful, european knights and samurai took the good old twohander. Those praetorian guards with dual wield learned their lesson pretty quickly.

I might be wrong, but I think the movies will stay away from introducing new colors. I feel like, red, blue and green are all that we may get film wise. Maybe white? But I would be surprised if they went too out there.

The animated TV series are where they can dabble with new colors of sabers, I doubt the movies do much with that.

I will be interested to see what Rey's saber or weapon will look like in IX though.
