Disney is holding their big four-hour Investor's Day Presentation today – and you can watch it from the comfort of your home! New announcements for Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar, and more are expected, so it's definitely worth tuning in for. Here's how you can watch it as we provide all of the major updates live.

Let's get right to the point – you can tune in to the presentation here. The event begins at 4:30 PM ET / 1:30 PM PT; if you need help finding out what that is in your time zone, then this tool should be useful. (Insert your location or time zone into the bracket, and you can use it to find out when your time matches up with the time of the presentation.)

For months, Disney have been hyping up this meeting, which they have stated coincides with their plans to restructure into a more streaming-oriented company. The move was always part of Disney's plan, but the advent of COVID-19 and the subsequent disruption of the theatrical model that it's caused has led them to accelerate their corporate transformation. As such, a number of the lay-offs that the mighty entertainment empire has issued factored into this.

All the same, it appears as though they have no intention of giving up on the theatrical industry that they've consistently dominated for several years in a row, as they will still be developing a number of new movies for theaters and will reveal new projects today, alongside new announcements for Disney+ project across all of their major brands. Aside from new announcements for future projects and the casts and crew attached to them, Disney are going to delve into their new strategies with streaming domestically and internationally, as speculation for things like an adult tier for Disney+ continues to run rampant.

We will be covering any significant announcements revealed at the event all day right here in this article (make sure to refresh the page from time to time, once the event starts), and will provide more detail in subsequent articles on Star Wars News Net and Movie News Net.

    UPDATES!

The New York Times recently shared a report indicating that the event will be monumental for the future of the Star Wars franchise, likely making up for the absence of a Star Wars Celebration event earlier in the year.

The show has not yet started, but Disney, along with Lucasfilm representatives, are hyping up the event. It seems like today will be a good day for Star Wars news.

“A significant expansion of the Star Wars universe.”

Before the tidbits of news start dropping like the bombers on TLJ, I want to share my predictions on what will be revealed. Here is what I think is guaranteed to be there:
    1) The Bad Batch animated show. They’ve been working on this for a while. It seems like a quick “filler” before we get Cassian and Kenobi.
    2) details on Cassian. Perhaps a set photo or two and cast members.
    3) Kenobi. I’m going to predict there won’t be too much revealed, except that “it’s definitely happening.”
4)Boba Fett show. This will tie in with the Mandalorian
    5) Mandalorian season 3 news. I’m not sure what they’ll reveal, but I predict something will be.

Now, here’s the “wild card” predictions:

    1) Ahsoka live action show. Again, to tie in with the Mandalorian.
2)Taika Waikiti film. This is the most recent rumor as far as theatrical movies.

I also have a list of things I hope will be revealed but I think have little (to zero) chance of happening:
    1) Disney+ live action films. These will take place around the galaxy and don’t tie in to the overall saga. Some will be children targeted like their recent D+ movies.
    2) Leslie Heyland movie, and I hope it’s set in the High Republic.
    3) Rian Johnson project. Boy, I haven’t heard about this in a long time and just hearing the project is alive will bring me delight. I also hope it’s set in the High Republic or before.
    4) Dr Aphra project. Again, no chance of happening, but I hope it happens.
    5) Another trilogy, perhaps an episode 10-12? And this time they’ll be adhering closer to George Lucas’ ideas. I would also be happy with a single stand-alone that uses notes from Lucas (like his young Emperor Palpatine script or another story arc cannibalized from his Underworld.)

On a side note, there seems to be a great deal of “Fioni” and “Favraou” invading the Star Wars conversation recently. While I like both, I hope all announcements aren’t catering to the “Filoni/Favraou” fanbase. Star Wars has the freshest ideas when you invite outside people into the family.

Cool! A New Rebublic and Ahsoka live-action series! I'm down for this! The way KK talked, they'll all kinda tie together, too. At least that's the impression I got. NICE!!!

Acolytes, huh. The should have started with “High Republic era dark mystery”, not “female-centric, but men could watch as well”.
