Lucasfilm Games Will Appear at Disney D23s Games Showcase, Will Spotlight LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

Lucasfilm Games has just announced to be attending Disney D23's video game showcase panel next month, showing several titles tied to their massive library of intellectual properties. So far, the only Star Wars title confirmed to be featured is LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.



Earlier today, Disney officially announced their first-ever video game showcase at D23, featuring content tied to their Disney, Pixar, Twentieth Century Studios, and Lucasfilm brands. Among the games shown are Disney Mirrorverse, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Aliens: Dark Descent, Marvel's Midnight Suns, Disney Dreamlight Valley, Marvel Snap, Disney Speedstorm, and, of course, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. In addition to this announcement video, a new press release from Disney went into how fans can expect new updates on existing and future titles. Worth noting is the inclusion of the most recent LEGO Star Wars video game, which has been available to players for quite some time:

Since this game has already been released, some expect there to be an announcement of some kind on future downloadable content for the title. Should this be the case, it is more likely that the updates could include additional characters than new levels, particularly given the difficulty that the developers had with the game's engine. For now, it seems that The Skywalker Saga is the only Lucasfilm Games title that we know will be showcased here. New Lucasfilm Games productions may be announced or featured, but for now, only expect an update of sorts on the most ambitious LEGO title yet, as other titles appear to be further off.



Disney D23 Expo's gaming panel will be held on September 8, 2022, at 1 PM PT/4 PM ET, with Blessing Adeoye Jr. hosting the panel, which will be livestreamed to the general public. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is currently available to play on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Microsoft Windows.
