    Why hasn't there been any official photos released of Luke from TFA yet? I was surprised that he's not even in the Visual Dictionary, just mentioned. All I've seen is that leaked studio photo sporting his TFA attire. Even the smallest most obscure creature/thing is usually depicted in those books.
    As the title says, this is mainly my surprise of the lack of Luke in the Vis Dir.
    I understand the secrecy surrounding Luke and I salute it- I don't want to know everything until more is explained in upcoming films. I was really just looking forward of a picture of him in his older prime because... I'm in love with cougar Luke gosh darn it!

    But most characters in the VD (that's right) are "photoshoots" for lack of a better word.

    No and yes.
    Thing is - he's in the movie if only for about 30 seconds, he's not a new character although the mystery surrounding him since ROTJ is immense and there's a black series figure coming. Why not in the Visual thingy?
    It could just be this:
    Luke Skywalker - Long lost Jedi master shrouded in mystery.

    I guess they just didn't want to risk it leaking.

    But you'd think by now they'd have released official photos/stills featuring Luke. Maybe those will come when they start promoting the Blu-ray/home video releases.

    That's exactly it. The same thing happened with Snoke.
    They actually have released a still, but they haven't marketed it. I figure that they'll market the crap out of Luke in Episode VIII and Episode IX instead.

    Have no idea about Snoke.
    Regarding Luke, there were a few posts a few months back with images that turned out to be a custom i.e. false. So I'm guessing in hindsight, where I heard it from, that this "person" is probably not on paar with official info as I'd like to believe. And this was quite recently. Damn! I jumped the gun!

    I get the feeling that the Luke and Snoke figures will arrive around the time more news for Episode VIII is out. But they're not in a rush to make those figures just yet, it seems.

    Because Luke was on the island playing 'Jedi Hide And Seek' all by himself. Sadly, he was so good at it the Lucasfilm people couldn't find him for the publicity photos. ;)

    They likely kept it out in order to prevent spoilers of the movie leaking. Snoke wasn't in the Visual Dictionary either.
