Cloning...JJ has gone on record during the production of TFA saying he wants to be down on The PT References .

 

Where did he say that?
I remember him saying that he wanted to reduce unnecessary references in general, not specifically about the PT.
But yes, the less cloning the better.

 

He said it in the editing room, when he saw some flags and told Roger Guyert, YES, reduce unnecessary references but also towards the prequels, even pointing exactly to the pod racing flags .

 

OK, so Snoke is bad, Kylo is bad, AND Luke is bad. Oh, and the OT is completely turned on its head, all the hero work dismantled, fanboys sent into murderous rage at a cost of 4Billion to Disney, etc?

Luke going dark doesn't make sense in any fashion and really isn't good storytelling either.

I'll shuddup about Plagueis if we can stop talking about Dark Luke...

Ok...Ill play. Palpatine created Anakin in order to continue his own life. Anakin got messed up by OB1 so...Luke being his son was a better fit for Palpatine to transfer in to. Palpatine knew all along what Luke and Vader would do. Palpatine used Vader as a Conduit to transfer into Luke since Luke did not have the dark side in him but Luke had a weakness for his Father. Luke nor Vader was aware at the time that Palpatine did this.

In TFA Luke is fighting off Palpatine and has secluded himself just in case Palpatine ultimately took over. So there you go. Luke's dark side is an unwelcome Sith Ghost trying to posses him =).

And maybe Palpatine was Palgius all along. So Luke has Plagius trying to take him over.

 

You mean using Anakin as a vessel and possibly Luke....(?) maybe that's why he might have said, "We must hurry, I sense Darth Vader is in danger..."

I read in TFA Luke is considered evil by those under the first order's influence. There is a difference between being on the dark side of the force and being considered evil in the light.

The OT is over. If anything Luke has now witnessed the cause of all his actions. He never ended the empire or restored peace. It's obvious the galaxy remained and is still at war.

Luke temporarily saved the galaxy. He was hero for a moment. That's canon. The consequences of his actions have led to further war to present.

If anything , absolute empirical power may be the only means of having peace in one's mind , when "rebelling" against it has achieved nothing.

That's when the idea of a black vader becomes very grey.

If luke is indeed "dark" it will be for the sake of peace.

OT is over. luke obviously didn't save the galaxy. It's still at war.

 

If you give it some thinking, Luke as a Skywalker might be influenced by Darth Plaguis BUT his Force powers are so immense that's why he becomes the light.
I saw a recent video where the Jedi with green light sabers, , have tradionional strong force users(force power). Yoda had it & Luke in ROTJ built his own green saber.
Why? Because he no longer considered himself a "guardian" or blue light saber like Anakin or Obi-Wan, .
Rey & Finn returning Luke's "blue" saber in TFA will signify that he(Luke) must guard the light side of the force or awaken force powers in new Jedi Knights to fend off Snoke & The First Order(cough, Darth Plaguis, cough).
