Ah, the classic Luke vs. Ahsoka. Here we go.

Who would win in a fight Ahsoka or Luke in their primes (cannon.) The reason I am asking about cannon is that legends Luke is so powerful there is no conversation to be had. I would say both of their primes are after ROTJ roughly around when they meed in TBoBF so let’s imagine they meet then.

Luke beat Vader, but only after taping into his rage thanks to my homeboy Palps. Otherwise, it could be argued that if Vader’s goal was to kill Luke (which it was not) and Luke did not tap into his rage, Vader would have won. This is not helpful because Vader also defeated Ahsoka - but was that her prime? Was Luke at his prime in RoTJ? Maybe not. I would say both their primes are around the time of the Mandolorian but I am open to having that be up for debate - would love to talk about that more later.

We have to think about it based on three things: their power, experience, and skill (with a lightsaber.)

When it comes to raw power, Luke wins. After all, he is the son of the chosen one. But he most likely would not tap into his rage/emotions which means he would not use a large portion of that raw power, yet neither would Ahsoka. Nonetheless, I believe Luke takes it for raw power. If it comes down to survival he could reach into the force to help him in a way Ahsoka may not be able to counter.

When it comes to experience, Ahsoka wins by a landslide. She defeated Maul and was trained by the Chosen one among other great Jedi Masters. Her battle experience and multiple duels alone take this. Not really a debate.

When it comes to skill - that’s tough. Luke has never experienced one who fights with Jar’Kai (which Ahsoka uses) thus she gets the initial edge with dueling. But would Luke’s ability to survive in non-survivable circumstances prevail? I don’t think so. Ahsoka has been trained not only on how to use her lightsaber, but how to read, process, and counter another’s dueling. While Luke also received this training, when it comes down to it, experience outranks everything :)

I think Rex was right. I think Ahsoka would barely win. This fight would never happen, but it’s interesting to talk about - the scenario and reason for their fighting also play a role in who wins. It's hard to say because we don't know much about cannon Luke between ROTJ and Mando. Do you agree? How would this fight go? Would love to write a story on how and why it would occur.

COME ON, @Callisto Arlok ! This is NO CONTEST!!! It's LUKE hand's down, baby!!!

Let's consider their most recent televised fights: Ahsoka was BARELY ABLE to defeat Morgan Elsbeth who was wielding a beskar spear for crying out loud while Luke literally made MINCEMEAT out of an entire battalion of dark troopers!!!!!

    ;) :)

I love Luke, but Ahsoka wins.

Raw power only means so much so long as one can tap into it. Outside of that, Ahsoka has far, far more experience than Luke, and if they are really going for the kill, I trust her experience over Luke's potential.

Ahsoka clearly has extensive battle experience as veteran of the Clone Wars. We saw her play with inquisitors in Rebels like a cat with a mouse. Luke's connection to the force is unmatched and an asset that even Palpatine sought to control. Overall, I tend to believe Ahsoka could take advantage of Luke's lack of battle experience, at the very least to escape if needed. Interested thought experiment, I could probably be persuaded either way.

Well, he beat Vader because Vader was not trying to kill him and because Luke tapped into his emotions (dark side vibes) what would happen if Vader was angry and trying to kill him and Luke did not tap into his emotions, as he most likely would not at the time of his hypothetical fight with Ahsoka. But I understand your point.

You just got the whole thing there. Luke is about the emotions that brought his father back around. That's what the green lightsaber he built symbolizes. Moving into your heart, where you go in your consciousness when you become heroic. George Lucas's mentor said the heart is the place of the virgin birth, where you die to your material animal nature, and are reborn into your higher spiritual nature. The world changes through love and care. Winning, in that sense, is not the physical abilities of sword fighting one against the other, but winning is bringing the light back to the world through the heart, and Luke wins every time. I would select Ahsoka. She is better trained than Luke, despite how powerful he is.
