MARVEL's Daredevil

Well lets see what happens each episode might reveal more.

 

I figured we could start a thread specifically for the new Daredevil series since iv heard it talked about more then once around here. currently iv only watched the first few episodes, and im really enjoying it. share your thoughts below.

I just want to point out that the medical expertise on the show is on point. so far very accurate in both wounds, and trauma care. more so then most medical dramas iv watched in the past.

 

I loved Daredevil. Best superhero show I've ever seen. And to drive the point home, here is my list of superhero shows I've liked from best to worst. I've seen other superhero shows over the last 40 years not listed here, just didn't like them.

OK Now we're getting down to shows that I watched but mostly suffered to get through

Smallville & Arrow don't make my list of 'watchable.' I tried many episodes. Just couldn't.

 

I'd have to say Hero's is my favorite of all time. I tried watching the pilot episode of Powers since it was free on PSN ..but the acting was cheesy, and the script was fairly weak. So I don't plan on watching episode 2 anytime soon ...cool idea for a show though. As for daredevil, man its one of the most well written super hero shows to come out in the past few years. Call me crazy but I actually enjoyed the daredevil movie that came out a while back...this is a different story altogether. Can't wait for more.

 

Oh I don't like Powers because it's good. Quite the opposite actually.... It's so bad it's actually entertaining. The last show I saw that was 'terrible but a blast' was the re-make of V.

Actually as Powers goes on it starts to find it's niche and becomes quite watchable despite itself... BUT all the cursing still is out of place and the actors sound so uncomfortable doing it.. it's hilarious.

Have you ever checked out Misfits? You can watch it for Free on Hulu. It had the opposite problem of Powers. It started out great and got more lackluster as the seasons went on.. It was still pretty fun though. That show is as vulgar as Powers with the language, but at least it flows naturally from the actor's mouths like warm runny diarrhea.

I blindly bought the directors cut of daredevil when it came out and thought it was ok as well. But the show blows it away. Hands down the best superhero show ever done. Bar None.

So how bout those trailers for season 2?! Frikkin awesome!

 

Very pumped for the next season of DD. He's tied with Batman for my favorite comic book character of all time. As a rabid fan, I can honestly say that they got DD right in the first season. My only complaint is that the death of Ben Urich while shocking and showing that no one is safe, cut off the potential for some really great Ben Urich stories down the line. In the comics he is probably the second best DD supporting character behind Foggy. That being said, his death was handled well and there are plenty of other great DD stories to tell anyway.

The second season looks to continue the trend of excellent storytelling that understands the characters.

 

Just watched the first two episodes of the second season, flippin' awesome! Punisher does not disappoint at all so far. Also, awesome seeing Matt as full on Daredevil right of the bat. Foggy is as great as he was in the first season. I was worried that it wouldn't live up to the first season, but if the first two episodes of this season are any indication, it could end up surpassing the first season in quality.

 

Binge-watched Season 1 once more this past week in preparation, gonna come home from work and binge-watch Season 2 aggressively when it drops!!

 

Doing that myself right now, already on episode 4.

 

Why cant spidey get a Netflix show . I hate Sony.

 

I know how you feel, I can't help but wish that Spidey would swing into to team up with DD when watching this show.

 

Finished the second season last night, seriously great stuff. I can honestly say that they managed to top the first season and did all of the characters justice once again.
