In an interview with Collider for her upcoming series Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai, Ming-Na Wen muses on what she would like to see in a potential second season of The Book of Boba Fett.

Wen is known within the Star Wars community for her enthusiasm about her character, Fennec Shand, happily signing up to voice the character in season 1 of The Bad Batch, as well as her infectious love of Star Wars as a whole. You can find her commenting in the behind-the-scenes from Disney Gallery: The Book of Boba Fett about how filming Star Wars is a positively surreal experience that makes her feel like a kid again or up on the LIVE! Stage at Star Wars Celebration as a consistent presence for hype. It’s no surprise therefore, that when asked about one of her Star Wars projects, she would offer a more detailed opinion than the milquetoast murmurs we sometimes get from actors.

Regarding the direction for a potential second season of The Book of Boba Fett, Wen offers:

Wen’s desires seem to echo some of the calls for Boba Fett to return to his original, gun-toting, menacing glory while still maintaining some of the moral code he learned while on his journey from the sarlacc pit to the gekko ceremony. In fact, this seems to align with where season 1 ended with Boba Fett stating the life of a daimyo wasn’t for him, including an after-credit scene of Cobb Vanth in the bacta tank, seeming to imply Vanth might be Mos Espa’s new savior.

We may never know, as Lucasfilm has still not confirmed whether we will see a second season of The Book of Boba Fett, despite some interesting comments from director Robert Rodriguez that implied he is under an NDA. Likewise, we know that Temuera Morrison expected a call to return to The Mandalorian for season 3, which never came. It’s certainly possible that that Boba Fett story, whatever it was, was tabled for future use.
