A new cooperative card game set in the Star Wars universe is heading to store shelves soon. What's more, it sounds like it will have particular appeal to those gamers who are huge continuity buffs.

ICV2 has reported that Star Wars: Timeline Twist will hit stores next month, courtesy of Zygomatic Games, which is a subsidiary of Asmodee. The new game is a Star Wars-themed version of the original Timeline Twist card game that released last year. While the original title had players put cards with historical events, inventions, and discoveries described on them in chronological order, this new iteration of the game will require players to do the same with events from the Star Wars saga.

From the sound of things, gamers will be able to get a match or two with their friends in quickly, as each game should take about 20 minutes and can be run with 2-6 players.

Of course, longtime players of Star Wars board and card games will remember that Asmodee has been producing titles for the franchise for some time now. One of their other subsidiaries, Fantasy Flight Games, nabbed the license to make Star Wars card and miniatures games as well as tabletop RPGs over a decade ago. In the years since, other Asmodee-owned companies have produced their own Star Wars games as well.

Star Wars: Timeline Twist will be available starting February 16, 2024, for a retail price of $19.99.
