It's the good old days all over again with Ahsoka. While we wait for the second trailer of the show to hit after new footage was supposed to debut last weekend, a new LEGO set has provided new details about the upcoming series, in particular, about the character of Jacen Syndulla.

For context purposes, we should raise a spoiler warning for the end of Star Wars: Rebels at this point. As fans of the series might recall, the epilogue of the final episode included the reveal of a new member of the Ghost crew, Jacen Syndulla, son of Hera and the recently-deceased Kanan. In the brief shot we got of him, he was a green-haired human baby with some Twi'lek strokes (see above). Ahsoka takes place at least 10 years after we last saw him, and he apparently has grown into a more human form now, even donning a Han Solo-esque look, as seen in the official pictures from the new set:

In addition to Jacen, the new Ahsoka LEGO set also revealed two new characters from the series, Ghost First Officer Hawkins (human) and Lieutenant Beyta (Mon Calamari). Chopper and Hera are also part of the package, seemingly confirming that there is a near-brand-new crew aboard the central ship of the animated series. Despite that, we know that most, if not all major players from the previous show will appear in Ahsoka, including Sabine Wren, who is supposed to have the largest role of all in the show, and Ezra Bridger. After Zeb's appearance in The Mandalorian season 3, we also expect to see him in it.

If we may add some speculation at this point, this looks like the crew that will be aboard the Ghost by the beginning of the series, once Ahsoka and Sabine reunite with Hera to start their adventure. Once the three of them decide to venture into the Unknown Regions and combat new Sith characters and blue-faced Admirals, Jacen might already be safe in his babysitter's hands.

Last but not least, as spotted by r/StarWarsLeaks, the LEGO set box also revealed an all-new ship that we might get to see in the series. No name or additional details were provided, but it does hint that, in addition to featuring new lightsaber action, Ahsoka will also include classic Star Wars space battles.

In other Ahsoka news, Natasha Liu Bordizzo (Sabine Wren) talked to SFX Magazine about the upcoming series and Dave Filoni's movie, though it was one of those situations where she couldn't really say much. Bordizzo confirmed that the forthcoming series takes place in the same timeline as The Mandalorian season 3, but that seems like a 'don't read too much into it' kind of statement, as she is not necessarily saying that the events of Ahsoka will be concurrent to Mando's latest adventures:

The actress also couldn't reveal if she will be a part of Dave Filoni's upcoming Star Wars film, which is set to culminate the events of The Mandalorian and spin-offs, because she doesn't even know as much yet:

This is not too different from what Katee Sackhoff (Bo-Katan) and Carl Weathers (Greef Karga) told TheWrap recently when asked if they have already been questioning Filoni about their characters' involvement in the new movie:

Ahsoka will hit Disney Plus on August 23. Dave Filoni's Star Wars movie has not been dated but is expected to arrive in 2026.

With roughly 44 days left, I don't need to watch the new trailer or new tv spots, I'm good... avoiding spoilers so I can enjoy the show. I wonder how long the first episode will be? ...40 or 50 minutes? If one were to watch all the trailers and TV spots will the first entry be underwhelming? What is left on the table after months and weeks of anticipation?

Ahsoka is actually season 5 of Rebels, with the addition of Jacen ( which to me is a spoiler, now I know he's in the show... I will not read the rest of this article...) OMG live-action Jacen Syndulla!

Its truly funny to me, fans that didn't watch Rebels and called it a kiddie Disney show, are now watching the animated series, all the critics I follow are catching up, binging seasons in anticipation of the show.... hilarious!

I was there from the inception, reading articles on Starwars.com, Dave Filoni was putting the show together using Ralph Mcquarrie illustrations for inspiration which blew me away, huge McQuarrie fan RIP. I still pore over his matte paintings for TESB.

Yes, Ezra was a bit kiddie at first, but he matured as the seasons went on, from the kiddie hairstyle to the more mature adult BuzzCut!

Anywho, I was a fan that also watched Star Wars Resistance which fans also did not watch because it was marketed toward children... Star Wars is for the young and old in all of us... plus the anime cell shading was very pleasing to eye. I wonder will there be a live action Star Wars Resistance show? the last season was very good and bit more mature... Bring it on, more content for Disney+ :D

Synara San favorite Star Wars Resistance character, I own the 3/4 inch fig:
