That's the wagon speeder chase sequence. Its Rey driving it. Its also the same speeder she drives Finn in with BB-8 when Finn is injured.

hmm forgive me for saying this, that seems like a lot of detail from the "mystery box" is this theory or informant material? im not a regular reader of your page so im not really sure where you get your information. it is indeed interesting anyway you slice it. id like to see this scene in the new film

 

I have over A LOT of pieces of concept around the wagon speeder and the quad speeder. I am in the informant as I have the source material. I have hundreds of pieces from The Force Awakens.

As a matter of fact, today I received the end of the chase sequence. I'll have the information up very soon.

Pete Peeve: Mystery Box refers to the way a story unfolds. A New Hope is a mystery box as we enter the film and it slowly unfolds for us. Abrams just likes security and secrecy but that's when he was making films no one cared about in comparison to Star Wars and he wasn't dealing with three corporations, foreign crews with no loyalty to him, and MakingStarWars.net

 

but your getting your "source material" from somewhere unless your working directly with the film somehow...im not into spoilers per say but i do like speculation. im one of those guys that picks things apart so again forgive me for being a skeptic. just trying to put the pieces together and figure out where you get your information.

Back to the speeders. I forget who, but the pod-racer connection was pretty neat, considering we saw some engines in the trailer. Could podracing parts now be used by scavengers for their transportation?

I think Tatooine, thanks to the PT, if it is the location, was done right. Now here me out here. Episode 1 we saw podracing and Watto and junkyards, but decent conditions for civilized aliens and the Chose one to be born. By Episode 3, and TCW, things seem to be down, and the Owen Lars of PT is cranky and doesn't want Luke to leave in Episode 4, where the place now is just smugglers and cheap people, with Jabba now fully controlling his crime Empire and the Empire restricting any entertainment. This is the same in Episode 6, where we actually see the true crime and villainy of Jabba, which finally gets destroyed. But without the Empire patrolling, and even without Jabba, the place could just have gone crazy. So 30 years one, people who live here have changed -now they're just scavengers and pirates.

 

But that ship inside of it? That looks really sleek and very well made. Maybe the place is a good place to hind something that good from the crime of the world.

 

The Phantom Menace made such a big deal out of the podracing/hover vehicles that it'll need to be brought into the sequels in some capacity to feel like canon to all fans
