For anyone who may be interested, I had a short Twitter conversation with Mr. Kemp today in regards to his long-awaited, much-anticipated (by some of us) hardcover duology that was promised to "blow [our] f***ing minds."

I asked him if the novels might ever see the light of print, to which he replied:

"I can't say never, but I think I can safely say it's extremely unlikely."

Oh well...these were novels that had been announced back in 2010-2011, in the pre-acquisition days. I think we can assume they suffered the same fate as Sword of the Jedi and any other now-Legends planned material. I am looking forward to Lords of the Sith and any other new-EU novels he may contribute, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't extremely disappointed by this news. With no knowledge as to what the duology was supposed to be about, we can't be sure that the ideas won't be tweaked to fit in with new canon and released in the future. However, I think we can sadly put this one on the same shelf as all the other cancelled novels: SOTJ, the Knightfall trilogy, and the Shaak Ti Clone Wars novel.

You win again, New Canon; another fallen soldier.

I wish they'd release these books for free as an ebook or they could charge for them whatever but give us Legends fans some closure!!!

I doubt we'll ever get the amount of stories that we used to, but KK did say that they may be willing to continue Legends sometime in the future. I imagine that would probably be after the ST is done, but we still have hope...
