    It's Star Wars...of course I like it.

    Not true . So your logic is just because I don't want to say anything, I haven't seen it...does that mean JJ hasn't seen it? Does that mean Joseph Gordon-Levitt hasn't seen it ?

    Atromech. Could I ask you which Spoiler is right?

    The one where luke is a cameo.

    OR

    The one where he takes down the fleet with the force.

    Actually all you have to do is say if any of those are right. Or are they both wrong? That would be all i want to know.

    Or would you prefer not to? Just asking, you seem pretty credible. And you are as of now the only one in the cantina to actually see the film. (Unless, your lying?)

    Geekster Official Review.

    "It’s a shame. The characters are likeable, the visuals, the music, the feel … are all spot-on. Why does the story have to be disappointing? All ingredients were there to deliver a fantastic movie. Maybe that was the problem. Without a doubt, it would have been very hard for The Force Awakens to meet the very high fan expectations, but that would have required an original story at the least. A New Hope in a New Jacket."

    Story = 5/10
    Characters = 8/10
    Soundtrack = 8/10
    Visuals = 9/10

    I would be relieved if it felt as good as ANH but if it seemed close to a plot rip from ANH I'll be LIVID because I could find more than 100 people (in the film industry or not), die-hard Star Wars fans as well of course, that could at least be more original than that with a story while using the same style and look of TFA. If it's basically ANH with new digs than I'll lose my newfound hope in the future of my most personally beloved franchises (haha pun). My reaction would probably be like this -> " Can noone direct a good true ORIGINAL Star Wars film anymore!? " " Your creatives, don't be scared be original! " WTF lol.

    Just got out of Star Wars The Force Awakens Press Screening and finished recording the audio for our Video Review that will be going up tonight at 12:01AM PST Dec 16 (so in about 8 hours.)
    My quick thoughts of the movie? Did I enjoy it?
    [IMG]
    THEY NAILED IT! STAY TUNED FOR REVIEW!
    Still to do, add audio to the video I putt together this week. Edit it a bit and upload it to Youtube. It may be released early if the Embargo is dropped between now then. That sometimes happens with reviews when they start getting leaked.
    Again, NONE SPOILER and it's safe for all to listen to! If they can stand the audio quality! I am sure a portable mic recorded in a car is going to sound PERFECT.. haha!
    =D

    http://defilmblog.be/archive/2015/12/16/star-wars-episode-vii-the-force-awakens-2015-review.html

    4/5
    Was all this excitement and hype justified? Well yes, because Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015) is the Star Wars movie that fans have been waiting for since 1983, and with a heavy heart The Phantom Menace (1999), Attack of the Clones (2002) and Revenge of the Sith (2005) had to respect. I did not feel myself more to talk about after the Star Wars prequels yet. But director JJ Abrams, Star Wars again put on the map and I'm already looking forward to episode eight and ninth episode.
    But rest assured it's not just a movie for Star Wars fans, because beside the old cast we also get to see a lot of new and young characters, you can be charmed and which you want to find out more. The biggest difference between JJ Abrams and George Lucas is the first to work with actors. All roles, from the smallest to the largest, is perfectly cast and plays very smoothly. Yes, even the British Keira Knightley look-alike Daisy Ridley, of which rumors surfaced that she was to act quite stiff during rehearsals, by JJ sufficiently kneaded into an engaging and distinctive character. Much is obviously to be achieved by the intelligent script by Lawrence Kasdan, Michael Arndt and Abrams who do not have typical submissive woman roll of the character of Rey, but a kind of key figure you want to continue to continue to rediscover the new trilogy.
    But also that other Londoner John Boyega put down a great Finn. Finn and Rey are the two main characters and their screen time seems balance divided among themselves. Finn is also the character, next to that of Han Solo, who brings a little humor, and at times is such a thing as called. As anti poles of Finn and Rey we see General Hux (Domhnall Gleeson) and of course the new archrival Kylo Ren (Adam Driver). One seems to be a reincarnation of Hitler without the fall in the all too obvious clichés of a Nazi dictator - even though there is a scene reminiscent of the Hitler speech in Nuremberg in 1935. The other is a tormented soul that we want seen in the prequels in the role of Anakin Skywalker, but Adam Driver's do so much better actor than Hayden Christensen.
    Synopsis: Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens takes place 30 years after Return of the Jedi. The Galactic Empire was replaced by the First Order and the opposition is trying to do everything possible to respond to the new violence. But members are fragmented and the location of Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) immediately becomes the stakes for both resistance fighters and the troops of General Hux and Kylo Ren, who commanded the act of Supreme Leader Snoke (Andy Serkis). A fragment of the location of Luke was by pilot Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) inserted into the droid BB8, even before he was arrested by the Order. Eventually the robot ends up in the hands of the scrap dealer Rey with the help of Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher), Finn and Han Solo (Harrison Ford), the fight will engage with the dark side of The Force.
    As I said, there are a lot of family ties and plot twists, which I wisely in this review will be silent, but all that happens is correct entirely within the tradition and themes from Star Wars. My only problem with The Force Awakens is that at times just wants to go too much homage to the Tour. If you are ill will, you could say that the film is a kind of summary of episode 4-5-6 (but do not worry it's more than that!) But I hope now that we episode eight and nine nostalgia a little can leave it alone and fully able to go for intrigue and action.
    The visual effects are fortunate enough not abundant and its creators have the right thing to run on real sets rather than against a green screen. I hope at least that they will continue on the same path and JJ a watchful continues to sail. The photography Daniel Mindel is very handsome, with small unobtrusive color accents associated with specific characters and the music of John Williams reinforces the epic nature of the film, even though there are a lot less themaatjes than in the previous Star Wars movies.
    I can not tell you much more about the movie without going spoilen, but let me perhaps say this for those who have not seen all the Star Wars movies. Organize a small marathon before going to this film. The viewing experience is just better at. I have seen the film in 3D (regrettable) given the film was not shot with 3D technology. Personally have preferred to see this print in 2D Star Wars:. The Force Awakens comes today December 16, 2015 in the cinema.
    I want to have just lost. I have rarely been so nervous for a show like this in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Not only because the expectations are sky high, but also because you hope that the conditions of the screening will be conducted as required. And at a press view, conditions are usually optimal given the small capacity and we need each other's body odor smell, let alone the smell of nachos or other crap they lug inwards at a public performance.
    And everything seemed to wish to proceed until suddenly a moron with a press the front of the hall at the beginning of titles went to stand up from his seat to look like a floundering monkey to another place, when it has ample time had started before the movie. It gives me so of it. Three fellow journalists have therefore missed the introductory text for a piece because of an egocentric randdebiel which apparently imagined at home. If you so I can give a good tip, choose your time to go to this film. I expect this to print all viewing records will break at home and abroad and want to enjoy every frame without jammers. In a crowded room so it can go wrong. On the other hand you do not want to wait too long, because yes it puts a lot of 'spoiler' material in the film, and before you know it you will learn unintentionally impactful twists in the story.
    Rating: 4/5

    The Times gave the movie a 5/5 as well but they posted before the embargo was over so they pulled it for now.
