Do you think it would be good? I would say so but it would probably piss Lucas off. Not like it matters really, but it would be a little bit "disrespectful" Even with the same cast (well most of the same cast), and different script and story, I think it would kick ass and actors like Hayden, Portman would redeem themselves

I've somewhat given thought to this before. Now, I like the prequels fine enough, but that's because I judge them separate from the OT. I think it probably would be good, given that most people probably think they can go no direction but up. I don't see this happening in Lucas' lifetime, though.

In all honesty, by the point anyone would want to remake the prequels, they'd probably want to remake the entire saga. I'm talking decades from now, when the youth that get into Star Wars with TFA have their own grandchildren and whatnot.

That said, if you're posing the question of them remaking it right now, well... I'd want different actors and scripts mixed with a story that is close enough but changed in a way that is deemed to be better. There were some great actors in the PT (Neeson, McGregor, McDiarmid, etc.) but I feel it would have to be a completely fresh start.

Nah, I don't want it. I'd prefer spend the amount of money in a time machine to alert George of the prequel's errors. But I like the PT, and Revenge is my favorite movie along with Empire Strikes Back.

IMHO Hayden was the biggest thing that was wrong with the PT.

Disagree, with the s*it script he had he did the best he could. Just check the scenes in Episode III where he doesn't talk. (when he is in Jedi Temple for example looking outside the window, or after he slayed all the separatists.) he is an underratted actor because of the mistakes by George Lucas and & Rick Berman... wait... that wasn't Rick Berman... what is it with Ricks...?

So friggin' nay. A Prequel Trilogy Reboot would necessitate an Original Trilogy Reboot and a Sequel Trilogy Reboot, which quite frankly would be a waste of resources and would generally hurt interest in the franchise as a whole.

I say yes. However they would never use the same cast. Hayden and Natalie are 34 years old now. Unless there was something specific written into the contract with the sell to Disney that they could not be re-made, it is probably one of those unspoken projects that will not come to light until Lucas has passed. Hollywood LOVES reboots. And I think they would have talented directors and writers lining up around the corner for such a project. EVERYONE wants to prove they can un-suck the prequals. So by my guess, its not a matter of IF but WHEN.

With the way that Disney has been talking in pushing the Star Wars franchise forward, I would say no. Right now, they seem to be too concern with coming up with new movies and products and whatnot, and I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to do a new trilogy not too long after 7, 8, and 9 are released (Ep. 10, 11, and 12). Lucasfilms has declared all 6 movies (1-6), in their latests forms to be canon, and they have released all 6 movies as such via digital download (not too long ago), so I don't think they will reboot anything anytime soon. [for them to even think about doing reboots, it probably will mean that LFL has run out of ideas for new SW content for them to decide to revisit existing movies]

Financially, the PT was a success so there's no need to reboot them anytime soon from a financial standpoint (since they made a lot of money when they came out). If they do decide to reboot, it'll be like in 20 - 40 years from now after they have released all the new episodes they have planned and it'll be a reboot of both the PT and the OT films (probably do it in chronological order rather than release date order for consistency purposes); they might even reboot the newer films too if they get up there in age by the time the PT and OT reboots are released. The PT and OT reboots (if any) would be more for keeping those earlier episodes fresh on people's minds in the future (aside from the obvious fact of making money on them again).

This is all a big "if" as 1) there's no precedence in SW reboots and 2) as far as I know, Disney has never rebooted a movie of theirs (and yes, those have been movies from Disney Studios but I wouldn't be surprised if this notion is extended to their other properties such as Marvel Studios and LFL). They might have turned some of their animated movies into live-action films (such as Cinderella and the upcoming Beauty and the Beast) but they've never done complete reboots.

I Would like to see the first six movies animated , that way They dont have to think about actors, and could add a LOT of information and extend and change some things of the story. And It doesnt need to be movies, it could be a tv series, They could Even make jar jar cool , so even he gets to redeem himself

I never have guessed that Episode 7,8 and 9 as for the other Movies would ever be made....and I was so wrong....Disney can pull this off...because they know me and you Star Wars Fans.

A Prequel Reboot? A new Shism could occure but they find Fans like me to watch it anyways...Not much has to be changed. Since 2005 people, fans and not fans know the weaknesses and ideas/concepts of the PT and the strenght that needs to be focused.

But this "will" only be happen after Lucas´ death...and if he doesn´t forbits it in his last wish.

I can´t say Yay nor Nay....because its about the script. As for me I would like to see Lucas way of camera work back. It´s more documentory and classic...It fits to Star Wars and the feeling it had since the OT.

Make Anakin a full grown man when we meet him this time! And get rid of that GIMP Jar Jar Binks!

In fact couldn't they just CGI-out Jar Jar Binks and replace him with Boba Fett? Also CGI-replace Hayden Christensen with Leonardo Dicaprio.. and if they're going this route.. replace that little kid Anakin guy with Haley Joel Osment.

"The machine is about to crush them as QUI-GON drags BOBA FETT behind him.
Just as the transport is about to hit them, QUI-GON drops, and BOBA FETT goes
splat into the mud with him. The transport races overhead.
QUI-GON and BOBA FETT pull themselves out of the mud. They stand watching the
war machine dissapear into the mist.

QUI-GON : Are you brainless? You almost got us killed!
BOBA FETT : I was simply trying to make my way to the...
QUI-GON : The ability to speak does not make you intelligent. Now get outta
    here!

QUI-GON starts to move off, and BOBA FETT follows.

BOBA FETT: No, i'm gonna stay.
QUI-GON : That wont be necessary.
BOBA FETT : It is! I am on a mission to take out Darth Maul, an evil Sith Lord. We can take him out together.

In the distance, two STAPS burst out of the mist at high speed, chasing
    OBI-WAN.
QUI-GON : I have no time for this now...
    BOBA FETT : What?

The two STAPS barrell down on OBI-WAN.

QUI-GON throws BOBA FETT into the mud.

    QUI-GON : Stay down!

    His head pops up.

The two troops fire laser bolts at OBI-WAN. QUI-GON deflects the bolts
back, and the STAPS blow up. One-two. OBI-WAN is exhausted and tries to
    catch his breath.

OBI-WAN : Sorry, Master, the water fried my weapon.

OBI-WAN pulls out his burnt laser sword handle. QUI-GON inspects it, as BOBA FETT pulls himself out of the mud.

QUI-GON : You forgot to turn your power off again, didn't you?

    OBI-WAN nods sheeplishly.

QUI-GON : (cont'd) It won't take long to recharge, but this is a lesson I
hope you've learned, my young Padawan.
    OBI-WAN : Yes, Master.
    BOBA FETT: You're pretty good.
    OBI-WAN : What's this?
QUI-GON : A local. Let's go, before more of those droids show up.
BOBA FETT : More droids? More droids do you say?

OBI-WAN and QUI-GON start to run. BOBA FETT tries to keep up.

BOBA FETT : (cont'd) Excuse me, but the safest place is this city I plan to demolish in act 3.

No the PT was just fine as it is (my personal opinion), but i would love to see a trilogy taking place in the days of the Old Republic. Delve into the 1000 years that the Jedi maintained order and peace.
