    It's clear that the Spoiler-twats various stuff is wrong when it comes to the droids. Sure, Threepio may well be with Leia - but R2 is CLEARLY with Luke.

    Exactly. If he doesn't have his X-Wing, what piece of info could possibly make it "CLEAR" that R2 is with him?

    I could definitely see a situation in which he is in his self-imposed "exile" and doesn't even want R2 with him. Wouldn't the droids be of much greater value to a politician on Coruscant trying to bring together a new government than a Jedi on some mission of self-discovery?

    No, because there isn't a reason he HAS to be with Luke - unless Luke is flying an X-Wing.

    Leia is a Skywalker as well...

    R2 is with Luke and they exchange parts and bolts. Luke is now a cybord and R2 a Midget with wheels.

    Maybe Luke had R2 fly his X-Wing back to Leia to leave him on Ach-too. R2 could easily erase the track back to Luke from the X-Wing and his own memory. It is even possible R2 gave Lor San Tekka the map he had before R2 returned to Leia. R2 had Part Lor San Tekka part 2.
