& that's just one star & now we have the computer & telescope power I am sure we will be finding lots more in the goldilocks zone & one has got to have some type of life on it.
I like how they use the term nearby to describe something 40 light years away

I am particularly excited about the James Webb telescope that piece of tech sound amazing

    38ly is close!

Granted, at our current capability it would take us 44 million years to get there...

There are lots of theoretical designs, though fusion is not possible atm.

Are you thinking of a specific one?

I don't know the ins and outs of fusion. But theoretical concepts for it vs. it actually happening are two different things. To date, nobody has achieved nuclear fusion; and last I heard we're not close.

Beyond that, there are all sorts of ideas for anti-matter drives, to laser-driven solar sails. I don't know where the EM drive fits in that spectrum. Lots of neat ideas, though, and it's cool that so many are working on it.

Saw this on my facebook feed this morning. Wow! What a significant find. Now if there was only intelligent life on these planets as well, that'd be something. I truly believe we are not the only living beings here on this rock we call home. There's gotta be more out there
