I agree with you about the cheesiness. That really took me out of the episode. They could've left that little part out. Also,
while it was cool to see prequel era droids again, the battle droids were still kind of annoying, though that is only a small problem for me. Rex's PTSD I enjoyed seeing. The concept of Ezra, Kanan, and Rex plus the Separatists droids simulating a battle between the Republic and Seps was cool too. I also loved the end when it showed the Rebels logo in the style of TCW logo. The battle between the Empire and droids/Rex, Exra, and Kanan was really cool too. Having both sides technically win the Clone Wars was really nice. I would've liked it better if it wasn't for Ezra and him "ending" the Clone Wars.
Overall, this was a solid episode. Not my favorite, but I definitely didn't hate it.

I enjoyed the episode mainly, it was great to see TCW elements (yes, even Roger Roger bots) and the idea of a simulated battle to determine the "winner" of TCW was great.

It was awesome to see Rex kick arse again, and not just the enemy either!

PT and OT troopers and weaponry against each other was great to see :)

"Wait, who's Roger?" was a great little line thrown in by Ezra, whilst being bombarded with enemy fire

Was it cheesy in parts, yes, but (emperor), it's Star Wars! TCW wasn't decided here for the galaxy (Order 66 decided that) but it bought closure to the soldiers on both sides so a more symbolic end to the war.

    Keep it comin' Filoni!

You mentioning episode order makes me wonder if the episodes got switched around. Someone spotted the new ghost in "hera's heroes" even though they just acquired the ship in this episode. Production mistake or reordered eps?

Rex and Sabin's fighting style is so similar. They really don't interact but they do have something in common. Their Mando training.

Couldn't have been an easter egg, the new phantom was attached to the ghost. or shoot, I might be reversing the names. The new shuttle was attached to the main ship.

Wasn't it the old phantom? Someone asked Pablo Hidalgo on twitter and he said that was an animation error.

Would have been better if it was 40 mins long, still liked it though.

It was good to see one of the longest debates of a conflict's conclusion finally concluded.

Good episode. Definitely filler but good filler.

I loved when Ezra said "wait.. who's Roger?" and when Rex put Ezra in his place. Overall it was a good watch worth the time.
