I watched The Last Jedi the other night in anticipation of The Rise of Skywalker next month. While watching the scene where Holdo hyperspaces into Snoke's humongous ship I noticed that it looked like the other star destroyers were also cleaved in two. I rewound it and checked again and it appears as if all of the ships were cut into two pieces, not just the lead ship.

Did anyone else see this? Am I correct or did I see that wrong?

If I'm right, how would that work?

I can see one ship at lightspeed doing some crazy damage to whatever it hits, but how were the other ships cut in half?

I could be wrong, but I think it was a shrapnel factor. The damage went clean through that wing of the Supremacy, and was still going, so hit the stuff behind as well. There would’ve been a lot of momentum to those parts. Feel bad for anything that gets hit by any still flying shrapnel.
