    TLJ will not suck if Rey is not a solo or Skywalker. SW is so much more than a big 'family reveal'. I am going to guarantee you now, it will not happen. She is not a solo.

    Clarification:Inability of majority to see Rey Solo been upon us all the time makes case of this trilogy to fail very almost impossible,since the story plot is so complex and well hidden trough genial simplicity to the point this looks unbelievable complexity(impossible) to majority untill the film.(in fact for some would be impossible even after TLJ, I expect total war over it after TLJ;) over TFA on the anticipation of EP. IX.)

    IF....IF she is Rey/Kira Solo etc, then they've done a really good job as most people seem not believe it's possible or plausible.

    I believe that the satisfaction will come in the backstory, not the reveal itself.

    No I don't know anything about you and for once I'll agree with you but that is exactly what you just wrote.
    You think you've spotted some universal truth the rest of us haven't. I can assure you I'm no moron and speaking from an objective point of view from the information we have learned so far 'rey solo' is a very very unlikely theory.

    So unless you have some insider info that we don't, you know just as much as we do but have drawn completely different conclusions to the majority. And don't forget the majority are just as intelligent and interested as you are.

    I wanted to tell you what is in the new film and what you'l receive, in a way of not spoiling you, but prooving I know, suite yourself. Its pointless, even from my side.

    I just want you guys to simply embrace it, take it with your lungs...

    ..indeed why am I doing this, what do I want to acheive...my ego? Am I an evil and want suffering?

    Do I actually now afraid its possible you will not like the film because of this? Perhaps this is it, I fear you will not love the film because of it.....

    If this thread OP is correct in about, let say almost everything ( one thing I was sure in is not as I thought but the rest....) , what than about the film acceptance?

    You know, I was pondering the whole "Who is Rey related to?" question the other day, and I'm perfectly fine with whatever the outcome.

    -Rey Random is probably the most likely, and it's the easiest to explain and move on from.
    -Rey Solo seems a bit implausible given the events in TFA, but it's not impossible.
    -Rey Skywalker is a little more far-fetched, but I could see how a good writer can make it happen.
    -Rey Kenobi would be a personal favorite, though unlikely.
    -Rey-Bacca is the probably the best scenario because it's not something that gets talked through thoroughly. :p

    Anyway, whatever happens, I know it will be organic and natural to the story, and her heritage will not be something that throws me out of my experience. Obviously the point of a thread like this is just to talk about personal theories, but remember to not get too caught up in things. The movie will be out in a few short days (excitement overload), so just remember to enjoy them as we are still in the dark. We'll get our answers soon. Very soon!

    Has this ever been explored in the EU?

    I'd love a comedic style SW story where Luke and co meet a family with EXACTLY the same situation from way across the galaxy and both families are like 'we thought we were special...' and then they share an adventure/go on to some hijinks.

    I know how to put movies and reality on a different scale. I'm 47 years old. Whatever, it will happen on my wednesday, it will be a movie, it doesn't have much impact on my real life.

    I won't get pissed, I won't yell of joy, I won't cry, I won't be crazy for anything whatever happens in the movie. That is one thing for sure.

    It's entertainment, it's just for fun.

    And yes, you put your ego on this. Way too much.
