Rogue One Ending

In the conclusion I wrote above, I intentionally made it seem like all our heroes die, but also never actually show them dying. We are lead to suspect that Jyn and her crew were slaughtered by Imperials and Vader. Yet, it is possible that they might have jailed some or all of them...

Here's the cheesy sequel: Rogue Two

Scene opens to a furry space critter with a blaster pistol running through the corridors of a prison. He's frantically looking from cell to cell while nervously checking over his shoulder. He stops in front of a heavily barricaded cell door, blasts the locks off it and barges in to find a shackled woman, face hidden in her long dark hair.


The critter speaks in an usual tone: "Jyn Erso!"


Jyn: "What? Who are you?"


Critter: "I'm with the Rebellion. I'm here to rescue you. We need your help."


Jyn: "My help?"


Critter: "Your father is alive, and they've built another Death Star. Come with me, quickly!"


Jyn: "Who are you?"


Critter: "Manny Bothans. Follow me!"

 

Not gonna happen.

 

I really want to see a Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid kind of ending. Maybe after the successful transmission of the plans have Jyn and one other character stuck somewhere surrounded by a legion of Stormtroopers and they do one final charge and get mowed down.
