SPECULATION Season 2 Discussion

Let's make some prediction of what you think will happen in the season 2 premiere. After I see it as celebration, I'll do a full spoilery review on this site.

* Vader will come in, crush the rebel cell, and then leave the show.
* the end of the episode, Vader will task a new inquisitor to mop up the remains.
* the episode will take place entirely in space, to save money by re-purposing sets.
* the ghost crew, plus ashoka and a few others will escape the carnage, and spend the season going from place to place aiding and enticing rebellion.

p.s. If this is too close to the other thread, feel free to merge. I'm trying to make this about predictions only about the first episode rather than hopes for the season.

 

I think season 2 will be the last season,They have introduced Vader and Ashoka,Witch Ithink is they endgame Ashoka killed by the Emperor,Kannan and Ezra end up imprisoned on the death star

I hope Asoka doesn't die. I like her and it would be great if she shows up in the ST.

 

Ashoka will not die until season 3 she should be allowed to have a list of encounters with Vader right through this season, I can't wait for that first meeting since she left the jedi temple.

VADER: Soooo.... Whatcha been up to, Snips?
AHSOKA: Inciting rebellion around the galaxy. You?

(There's a long pause. Vader breathes mechanically, looks himself up and down, then looks at Ahsoka.)

VADER: Evil.
AHSOKA: .... Cool.

I would prefer Ashoka to say ''Anakin it's you''

I think Max Von Sydow could be playing Commander Wolffe....

 

What if the inquisitors are actually other Jedi or Padawans the Emperor excused from Order 66 because he recognized their Dark Side potential? Maybe folks like Bariss? That would explain why they are already such adept Force users and skilled with lightsabers.

And it also sounds like Vader is possibly not well known yet. The line about not feeling fear and anger like that since the Clone Wars. Maybe this is his Big Coming Out party? He's been operating in the shadows, assassinating Jedi, and it's only now that the Emperor decides to unleash him as the Empire's new face of fear, to quell rebellion everywhere?
Could be a cool story thread.

Can't wait. This season looks like the true spiritual heir to TCW!

 

Disclaimer: I haven't seen TCW, really. I enjoyed what little I saw, but I don't have much of a desire to finish it.
While I was ecstatic to see Ahsoka in Rebels, I am not really looking forward to seeing Rex and other old clones in this show.
I feel it will just be a bunch of clones mocking the punk new Stormtroopers and making a gag out of it. I know there are people who love the clone characters, but I don't want this show to become a PT vs OT kind of thing, I'd rather it stay firmly in the OT era.

 

I'd like to think it doesn't have to be "VS" thing. Rather, I look at it as a bridge that meshes both trilogies together. Yeah, the feel is dendedly more OT ... but there have been some connections and nods towards the PT. (Remember the Fyrnok's planet?)

 

Anyone know when season 2 starts???

 

The new female inqusitor will be Barriss Offee. I am 99% sure!

 

Since the show is set 5bby, it is 3/4 OT and 1/4 pt.

 

Season 2 starts June 20th with a one hour show.
