Someone started a thread last month if we would see more Torra Doza and it's taken 10 episodes and we finally got one gives a little more backstory on her. She is great. I'm kind of stumped why we haven't seen more of her. I expect if her role expands we'll see a lot of cosplay as her because her look is one of the best in the series.

Kaz is looking for a way into the tower to get more intel on Doza. On the flip side Torra is basically locked in her room. Her father is scared for her safety with the First Order coming to visit. Doza is caught between a rock and a hard place. He fears the First Order, but he needs the security they're willing to offer.

Torra manages to escape the Tower and meets up with Kaz. We learn more about her and her father in this episode. Kaz manages to get into his command room and learns that Doza was a member of the Empire. Kaz thinks that Doza might be working with the First Order for nefarious purposes, but based on what we know so far he seems genuinely concerned for the safety of the Colossus.

I was kind of confused about the ages on this show after this episode. Kaz is 20 and Torra is 16. Kaz says something about them being a similar age and that struck me as odd given the age difference.

This is a solid episode. Pretty much everyone in this series has been more interesting than Kaz so far. I'm not sure that's by design. This whole Doza/First Order thing is interesting from a political stand point, but we know the First Order will be in full control soon.

I did' even know Kaz's age? Maybe I missed that part. Kind of hard to tell with his clumsiness

the fact that Doza has kept his Imperial uniform is certainly intriguing. i love both of the Dozas!
i also get why Pyre has a command shuttle, but it kinda irks me too.
and i also get why we have Pyre, but i wish they'd been able to rope Christie in for more and had her be the big bad in this.
also, that purple-peeing furbie of Torra's is like a cotton ball with chicken legs ~ i find it vaguely unsettling. XD

all that said, i'm so into this whole series. Kaz did good in this one and his chemistry with Torra is fun!

Totally unsettling, totally hilarious pairing with the droid.

I really enjoyed the episode! Resistance has definitely built up week-to-week. I'm always surprised at how much the show can make me laugh despite its childish nature sometimes. This episode gave a lot of screen-time to Tora and her world, and that felt very appreciated. She's a fun character, and her dad now has even more layers to him. The fact that Kaz's rival from that one episode before is the serving/whipping boy of the Tower is hilarious to me.

That being said, this episode continues the trend of episodes feeling slightly...off in order. Like, there's nothing wrong with the order they're in, but it doesn't...flow as neatly if you get what I'm saying. Maybe I just need to binge the show sometime and test it out for myself...

Overall this was another fun episode, helping Resistance carve its own place in the Star Wars animated world.

At some point this series is likely going to pass TFA/TLJ since it's so close to that time period. That could be a reason why Phasma isn't a priority.

i absolutely loved this! you had to figure he'd show up either scheming in some way to get another racer, or, yeah, working to try to get back into the game. love that he's in the tower even as a menial and it was fun to see him struggling to get Kaz in trouble and try to maintain his pride.

very true, but she could have at least been the big bad for a full season or so until the crossover happens.
like i said, i don't object to new characters at all and i like Pyre. just feels like Phasma is a bit wasted in the films and maybe now in the cartoon as well ~ ha!

they need to make a buggles toy like one of those easter chicks that lays candy eggs when you push its legs down.
only buggles will lay purple skittles.

no toys for Christmas, it seems. such a shame. i tell ya, LFL's marketing is just a disaster!
i need to waste money on crass products and they're totally falling down on the job. XD

what's funny is that there are posts on this very forum criticizing LF because they are only putting so many characters into the movies to sell us toys.

there are not enough toys... no toys for the people who want the toys and need the toys. I NEED THE TOYS! :D

this show is a goldmine for potential toys with all the characters and ships. but as usual they are playing it safe, probably.
i'll admit i think the ships would be cool as heck, but it's doubtful i would buy them; more likely the characters only, but also only if there's enough of them!
it's a conundrum to be sure! hahahaha

but even for the toys they have been making, distribution has been very poor. most of the stuff they made for TLJ i literally never even saw in stores.
same with the Solo toys, though it seems like there are a few more around lately now that the holidays are coming.

They should be pushing all of these racers in Lego kits if they aren't doing this already. I could see kids really getting behind the action of the racing and of building their own ships that they can race each other with. They could sell a big set for the main base that you can put your ships in.

I'm surprised we haven't actually seen more racing so far in the series. I think we've seen the Aces sitting around bored way more than we've seen them in action. Honestly though this was going to have more of a SpeedRacer feel when it first came out and I'd love to see some Wacky Racers references in there, too. I'm all for character development and am glad they are spending some time with each of our cast but it feels like life is pretty slow on this platform that is known for its circuit of high stakes racing.

Also, a little surprised we haven't seen more of an underworld gambling presence there similar to the pod races but that's probably too much too soon. I would have thought there would be some Hutt interest or pressure in addition to the FO and pirates.
