    A good while back I posted about how Snoke reminded me of Skelator from the Masters of the Universe and suggested that he could adopt similar powers: such as draining the life force of captives as Skelator does to the Sorceress. And upon seeing Snoke's throne room and hearing some of the dialogue from TLJ, I was again reminded of this somewhat tenuous link. But interestingly, it seems that Rian Johnson himself was rumoured to be up for the role of directing a reboot of MotU:
