EVENT Star Wars Rebels: Season 3 Premiere Party! (Spoilers)

Yep it's been a good showdown.

 

I have as well not read any of the EU. Time I got old enough to know that there were books and what not I was to far behind. I am a completionist and there was always to much to take in.

Once Disney took over and swiped the slate clean I was so happy for my OCD with trying to know everything about star wars.

The little I did know about the EU I did know that Thrawn was a big deal.

 

Same here, too late for my tired eyes, plus I just couldn't resist! Happy Season 3 to you too!

 

Back then I was a Star Wars purist. The only Star Wars (in my mind) was the three movies, so I never gave any of the EU a shot (except for video games). I'd heard of some story lines from friends and was like "no thanks!" But I've come to appreciate everyone's love for Thrawn. It sounds like he'll live up to their expectations, too. For me, though, he'll be a brand new character.

So much callous murder from our 'heroes'

Considering its a show for kids on Disney that will never cease amaze me... what with growing up with stuff like transformers and G.I. Joe where they couldnt show any death on TV at the time. I think that's one of the reasons we liked Robotech so much because people died in war.

The Bendu has a crush on Sabine and he is planning on asking her to the fish under the sea dance. I can't wait for next week's episode: "How do you Bendu a broken heart?"

 

No didn't but I'm glad Bo-Katan is back.

There is plenty more fish in the sea dance sea.

I hope to see an epic mandalorian story arc this season

 

Wow that many, your not the only, I respect the mandolorians impact in TCW series & now they make their mark in the rebels in a new season, I always thought Bo's parting scene with Obi Wan wasn't her last, I hope she gets to square off against Maul in a attempt to avenge the deaths of Pre Vizsla & her sister, I can picture a scene where Sabine tosses her the blacksaber the duel then begins.

My thoughts on the episode

Good
*The darker tone
* Hondo. "the purple guy and the mando girl!"
* I hated thrawn's voice from the trailer, but it really grew on me. It was a little hard for me to understand though.

Bad
*Zeb is looking at Sabine, and it isn't until she calls for help that he does anything. Was he not supposed to be in frame? Maybe he should've been facing the other way.
* Too little of Thrawn. I get that he wasn't the main point of the episode, but he was marketed so heavily that I was bummed to get only 1 minute with him.


weird
*Bendu. He just happened to be on that planet with the spiders from last seasons penultimate episode. He didn't do or say enough for me to really care about him.

*Tarkin's comments about vader having "dealt with the jedi problem" when Ezra is still wrecking havoc.

 

Any shot at Boba?

I would give him a shot but he's still a young one at this time, in couple more seasons for sure.

I travel for work but I am in the central time zone in the states right now.
