Cool! Which TIE did you get the Revell or Bandai? I never got into airbrush, sometimes I use Tamiya rattle cans.

Bandai of course! The Vader one. My comic shop is stocking all of the models. I was gonna start picking up one model a week but I want to see how the Vader Tie comes out first.

Yeah the Bandai kits are great. Sometimes I don't even paint them, just weather. Vader's TIE is a great kit. That one I sprayed british light grey, it's slightly lighter than the plastic. However with that particular kit the black panels are molded on to the wing frame, so you have to mask.

This would've been handy for the Normandy beach landings.

    I love this thread!!

X-Wing: This has to be the Spitfire.

Y-Wing: The Hurricane, front line fighter later used as a fighter bomber due to it's durability.

B-Wing: Hawker Typhoon, replacement for the Hurricane but faster, more heavily armed and nearly as tough.

A-Wing: Hawker Tempest, upgraded and faster version of the Typhoon. Possibly the Mosquito, very fast, lightly armoured and used for hit and run missions.

Millennium Falcon: Really hard to choose for, possibly the B25-J

TIE Fighter: Me 109, comparable with the Mk1 Spitfire and most produced fighter of WW2.

TIE Interceptor: Focke-Wulf Fw190, better performance, more maneuverable and heavily armed than the Me 109.

TIE Bomber: Dornier Do17 or the Hienkel He111.

TIE Advanced: Me 262, most advanced fighter of WW2.

Great list though I would swap the Typhoon & Mosquito around as I personally wouldn't class the Mosquito as a straight fighter aircraft it's just to versatile for that (though as a night attack aircraft isit was considered by the Luftwaffe as the members st dangerous allied aircraft)

Thanks and yes that is a good shout. I wasn't sure about adding the Mosquito to the list for that very reason. I was originally thinking about placing the Hawker Tempest as the A-Wing instead, the Tempest being a faster upgraded version of the Hawker Typhoon. I've updated my list :).
