I have very good sources and they have told me of a Star Wars VII Draft that largely differed from later ones. They claim to have pages from this draft. First off the Rebellion and the surviving Imperials have joined together in the last thirty years and are ruled by Leia with 3PO as her aid, while Han becomes the military General type kind of guy with Chewie. Luke has been living in quiet seclusion on Tatooine With R2. The new big three are characters called Fawn Solo, Orin Calrissian and Zare Leonis II (I know that is the name of a character from Rebels, but first let me explain that originally characters from Rebels were somehow connected to characters in VII, in this case through family relations). The villains are the Sith Inquisitors, or at least that is what you are meant to believe, they are lead by The Inquisitor from Rebels. A young Republic/Empire star pilot who is force sensitive begins to hear voices in his head, voices telling him to find and destroy the eventual apprentice of Luke Skywalker. A distant relative of Dooku, he is obsessed with the idea of Sith, even his personal guards are made to wear black chrome armour. He soon takes over the leader of the Inquisitors and starts a civil war when he gains many followers from the Imperial Rebellion alliance (not official name). This leads to all the classic characters and new working together to stop this evil threat. Story ends with characters going their own separate ways and Luke searching for this ancient evil that started all of the havoc. From what I know most of this has turned into backstory for the new script.

If this ever gets confirmed then you'll really have something.

One thing at least that is good is that you actually have names. That is one thing that is always funny to me is for anyone who claims to have seen a script or people who have seen scripts is that they don't use the names which is something that you would think is the easiest thing to remember.

Of course they can change anytime. Luke was Luke Starkiller when the film shoot started. It wasn't until he actually said his name the one time in the film that they changed it to Skywalker which was also a contender.

A lot of what you said is nice but with recent articles on various sources I could put that synopsis together save for the names of Fawn and Orin.

I don't know when you got this but if you had the same thing about a year ago it'd be huge. Even 6 months ago. There has been talk that some version of one of Arndt's drafts is out there.

This adds more to the other another rumour saying that Driver hears voices telling him to kill Luke's apprentice and it turns out to be Daisy. If so, Episode VII will be really good. :D

Fawn and Han Solo that name is pretty cool because it sounds like she is named after her dad.

I have been thinking about this scoop for about an hour now and a couple of things keep bugging me. I mean I love the story do not get me wrong it summarizes all the rumors we have heard so far into ways that really make since. Like I said this is basically a summary of everything we have already heard. Nothing new. Which brings me to my problem. Why wait until now? A lot of this stuff like Adam Driver being a pilot and the Imperial Chrome body guards only came out in very recent memory. Had you released this a couple of months or heck a few weeks ago you would of had a major scoop on your hands.

I there is a lit of content here, despite what others are saying. First, you pointed out where the droids are, which I believe is new information. Granted they might not be that important in the overall plot of the film (and their whereabouts could have been easily guessed), but that is still spoiler news.

Second the names! You could write a few articles just analyzing them. Fawn Solo could be innocent and naive, completely unaware of her familial ties or how she fits in the bigger picture of Jedi, Sith, and the rest of the galaxy. Orin Calrissian's name speaks for itself. It could reignite rumors of Boyega's character. And of course the last name which Rebels might further explain.

Third, you further reinforced the idea that Driver is indeed related to Dooku.

Fourth, if the characters all go their separate ways, does this mean we will not see Han's death?

Lots of great stuff to ponder!

From what I have been told, this is where all the Dooku Rumours have been coming from, this early draft.

I actually got this about 3 or 4 months ago, but I am not usually someone that let's out my big scoops until recently when things started to add up with what I was told. I said at the start of this thread that I was told the story we have here is more backstory now and may only be spoken of/or flashbacks.

This is why the film has been rumoured to start with Luke's hand with Boyega and Daisy already together because it would be explained as backstory as to how they got there in the first place.

These names and characters were used at the time, I have heard that the roles have not changed since then, but the characters have etc. names, backstory.

Happy that people are actually seeing this, I wish I could show you some of the things I have seem from this script. But as I said, it is basically just the backstory now, the reason that made Luke go searching in the first place for this Ancient Evil.

For some reason the idea that R2 and 3P0 reunite seems like the most Star Warsy rumor I've heard so far (though not explicit). It's the little things I guess.

I think this is too convenient. You give us this based on existing rumors, embellished with a few names that don't convince me (Orin sounds like a Middle-earth dwarf)...can you tell us something new/surprising/hasn't been mentioned in a rumor report?
Of course I'll make a tasty whipped frappe of my own snot if what you write ends up being verified, but again, I am very skeptical. That's a default position more people in the world should have. Incidentally.

Fawn Solo? I heard she was killed in a tragic kiln explosion while she was making a pot for Otter Kenobi...

I think an interesting aspect that they have to use, is the way IV just dropped you into the story. You find out backstory and names as you go, you aren't told who Luke is, who the Princess is, nothing. It all becomes connected the deeper you get. I'd rather get into a character to later find out who their parents are or who their siblings are and for it to "click". The worst part about the prequels was the constant exposition and explanation, it bogged everything down. Did we need the senate scense at all? The scenes in Palpatine's office? Most of the Jedi Council scenes? We never got any padawan training scenes, no Master/Padawan buddy scenes. What made the original trilogy work was the banter between the characters, the friendships, the loss and joys of advanture. That's what I want to see.

This is the best summary of the PT's faults and the OT's genius I've read on this forum.

Not only was the PT dragged down by insane amounts of exposition, it was mostly handled unconvincingly as well. And yes, it forced a lot of characters standing around, talking, moving to a window to talk some more. And much of it was unnecessary as well, as we would be better served being shown rather than told. It choked the life out of plot and characters. A good example is the romance plot-line, where we never really see/feel/have a cause to believe Padme has fallen in love with Anakin. Instead the characters tell us. "It's because I'm so in love with you." Compare it to the more organic way that Han and Leia's relationship develops in ESB. Even when we do get a scene of them having a private chat aboard the Falcon, they talk around the subject, in character, yet music and imagery helps sell the blossoming love. "I happen to like nice men." / "I am a nice man."

Differences like this makes the PT feel less a part of the story.

Ironically the PT also skimps exposition where it actually would make sense: For example, when Padme two minutes into AOTC blames Dooku for the attempt on her life and we've never met or heard about that character - or the prophecy of the Chosen One, mentioned occassionally without any frame of reference.

What the OT did so well, was to grow characters through the trials and tribulations of their adventures: helping out Luke and Leia, Han found he had a good heart; by facing Vader, Luke first showed himself impatient and vengeful, then grew into a better man by the second encounter (admittedly I'd love an extra movie for him to develop these traits to make it more believable but that's the problem with JEDI, as it needed to bring closure to material that needed more screentime).

I think JJ has shown he can easily do the buddy film thing, the Star Trek movies pull it off pretty well. He also easily got the Star Trek vibe down too, minus the lens flares. With JJ using lots of practical FX and sets he's already on the right path to the OT look and feel we all want. I'm thinking, and it's just a hunch, that Kira(Ridley) will be a lot like young Anakin and Luke. Self reliant, tough and a bit of a dreamer. We'll see the Skywalker characteristics in her... but we won't know who her parents are for a while.

I like lens flares... But yeah I agree in the terms of Ridley's character.

They get a bit cliche when they show up in every movie.
