Just would like to tell you all that is out today the latest episode of the amazing "Star Wars Webcomic" by mr Hong Jac Ga and this one is the ESB last episode.



This "Star Wars Webcomic" is rewriting and expanding the SW OT from Luke Slywalker point of view, episodes 1 to 13 were ANH story but much more intimate on a young Luke Skywalker and the episodes 14 till 27 retell the story of ESB but the Darth Vader and Luke duel is so much better than the one in the movie, next episode will bring us ROTJ.

I remember the first episode, Luke under 10 in Tatooine lost in a sandstorm were Ben Kenobi slashed a Krayt Dragon and saved the day.

This guy is a very well known Manga creator with several titles on his back, some are so well known that are even getting movie adaptations, either way is art work is flawless and since it has the korean style of mangwa instead of japanese manga orientation it all seems much more identifiable by the western readers.

Being a huge Star Wars fan mr Hong started this one as a free fanzine telling the Sw story thru the eyes of Luke Skywalker, he did it so well that LucasFilm jump on board in the months prior the release of TFA and the fanzine started to came out in a weekly basis.

By the way, the new chapter 28 is out since yesterday, is the first Jedi one, very different from what i remember the Jedi begining, the scene betwen Han and Chewie was really good and even make me laugh.

Spirou magazine Star Wars Special Edition

I'm reading it in French, not my hardest case, but will do.

For all the French and Belgian fans out there i could drop a link here.

 

StarWars Webcomic started in Korea but was introduced and translated to english readers in October 2015, when it received the LucasFilms aproval, but it started a few months before that date (early 2015 i think), young Luke cause a big, very big, sensation around the internet manga and StarWars communities and soon the fan translated chapters started to appear in the internet reaching the Lucasfilm that decided it was that good to declare it cannon.

The first instalment of this Manga was "The Story Before the Force" but evolved to became "The Story of Luke Skywalker".
