The Bad Batch Season 2 Releases New Trailer and Poster One Month Ahead of Release, Episode Titles Revealed

As we enter the final 30-day stretch before the release of The Bad Batch season 2, Lucasfilm has released a brand-new look at the new set of episodes. Hunter, Omega, and the rest of the gang will be reunited soon, showing off their new looks and embarking on new galactic adventures in an attempt to distort the newly installed Galactic Empire and bring their former ally Crosshair into their team. The new season will also feature the return of Emperor Palpatine and also Gungi, one of the young Padawans that appeared in The Clone Wars season 5.

Lucasfilm also dropped a new poster for the season which you can see below:







There are minor spoilers ahead, so look away now if you want to go in completely fresh.



The trailer shows off a number of tantalizing moments: more glimpses of Gungi as the Bad Batch defend from a group of droids referred to as 'Axis' in the subtitles; Commander Cody has a conversation with Crosshair; a shot of a huge robotic creature that looks strikingly similar to the Tallnecks from the Horizon video games; and we also get an extended look at the team completing a mission on a tropical island, running away from huge crab-looking creatures.



Lucasfilm provided more details about the new season through a press release:

Not only that, they also revealed the titles for each episode of the new season next to their air dates (notice there are three two-parters, including the first two episodes):

The first trailer debuted during Star Wars Celebration, back when the new season was targeting a fall release. A delay until Jan. 4 was announced in September during this year's D23 Expo. With it, Lucasfilm is using season 2 to bridge the gap between Andor season 1, which wrapped its 12-episode run in late November, and The Mandalorian season 3, which was just announced to be out on March 1st, 2023.



Two more animated series besides The Bad Batch season 2 are coming to Disney Plus in the first half of 2023: Star Wars: Visions Vol. 2 is targeting a release sometime during the spring, as is the new series Star Wars: The Young Jedi Adventures, which will be the first piece of content set in the High Republic era on Disney Plus.
