Lucasfilm scored five Emmy nominations in the 74th edition. In addition to Star Wars: Visions being nominated for Outstanding Short Form Animation Program, The Book of Boba Fett has earned four nominations, all in technical categories. Here is the list:

    • In the category of Outstanding Fantasy/Sci-Fi Costumes, Chapter 1: Stranger In a Strange Land was nominated. The series is represented by costume designer Shawna Trpcic, costume supervisor Julie Robar, and assistant costume designer Areayl Cooper.
    • In the category of Outstanding Sound Editing For A Comedy Or Drama Series (One Hour), Chapter 6: From the Desert Comes a Stranger was nominated. Representing the series are co-supervising sound editors Matthew Wood and Bonnie Wild, sound editors David Acord, Angela Ang, Ryan Cota, Benjamin A. Burtt, David Collins, and Alyssa Nevarez, music editor Stephanie McNally, and foley artists Margie O'Malley, Andrea Gard, and Sean England.
    • In the category of Outstanding Special Visual Effects In A Season Or A Movie, the series was nominated. The artists that received the nomination are visual effects supervisor Richard Bluff, visual effects producer Abbigail Keller, animation supervisor Paul Kavanagh, assoc. visual effects supervisor Cameron Neilson, special effects supervisor Scott Fisher, legacy effects supervisor John Rosengrant, ILM visual effects supervisor Enrico Damm, Imagine Engine visual effects supervisor Robin Hackl, and visual production visualization supervisor Landis Fields.
    • In the category of Outstanding Stunt Coordination For A Drama Series, Limited Or Anthology
      Series Or Movie
, stunt coordinator JJ Dashnaw was nominated for his work on the entire series.

While this may feel like a letdown when compared to the 15 nominations that The Mandalorian season 1 received, and the 24 for season 2, this is another opportunity to recognize the incredible work of these artists. The Book of Boba Fett certainly didn't have the same reception as either season of The Mandalorian, both among critics and fans, but regardless, the team behind the series managed to pull off some incredible work to which several of them are being acknowledged with these prestigious nominations in their field.

The 74th edition of the Emmy Awards will be held on Monday, September 12. Congratulations to all the nominees!
