    Ok so there are rumors of so called factions The Clan and the Seven, but who are they?

    1.Pirates
    2.Nightsisters
    3.The Hutts

    I can see the clan being nightsisters as it sounds kinda tribe like.

    The Seven I see being a band of pirates who raid and loot for artifacts?

    I think that Pirates have the best chance since it's been reported for some time now that there are definitely pirates in TFA. Whether or not they'll have a group name remains to be seen. It's possible that The Seven were padawan learners that may or may not have been destroyed by Uber or Kylo Ren or Inquisitors. It would be very cool to see nightsisters brought to the screen, but I haven't heard anything to support it so far.

    Wasn't there something suggesting the pirates were the Rebellion?

    And the Seven were a group of grey Force Users approached by Luke for assistance?

    I'd guess the Seven and the Clan are the same thing, but if there's something I've missed I'd appreciate a link....

    I thought the Clan was Luke's name for his Padawans, and the Seven the Sith cult who trained up Kylo Ren? Based off lots of conflicting rumours so any guess might be entirely incorrect and these organisations may not even feature in the film.

    I think Luke revolved his padawans around his re-established jedi order, I think that is how they were recognized in the galaxy.

    I question that the names clan or seven will make the cut, for me it sounds like placeholder or code names for possible used factions. (new ones?)
    The Seven Samurai? The Clan (Yakuza ) I really doubt that names like that will be used in the finished film.
    George Lucas is a big Akira Kurosawa fan and was heavy influenced by him, but Disney is now at the helm.
    It will interesting how much stuff from George Lucas orginal outline/rough draft will be used in the production of VII VIII IX.
    If we will ever find out?

    Star Wars has established names like Empire, Republic, Jedi, Sith, Rebels, how does Seven and Clan fit in?
    Seven sounds like a posse and Clan like a Hutt Cartel, otherwise it doesn't make sense to me right now. (but I might be totally wrong with my guess)
    Was there not are rumor about Leia meeting the Hutt's for negotiations?

    The seven as gray jedi Luke seeks out was either bothanspi or debunked, I can't remember which leaning towards debunked. A lot of what I said about the Third Order got twisted into meaning "grey jedi" but the stance is not my own. Nor do I even think the Seven is really referencing my Third Order, but I see the argument.

    Personally I think the Clan has something to do with Rey, either her tribe from a flashback or a village she lives near

    I think the Seven are either..

    A. Serkis and his elite henchmen.
    B. Top tier bounty hunter talent hired by the Empire to snuff out the new Jedi before they grow too strong.

    I'm thinking the Clan are either the new Jedi or people that live in/protect the area in which Rey has been living as a young child.

    The Magnificent Seven Jedi, two survive while the rest die battling nightsisters(bandits aka from real movie LOL) and protecting moisture farmers.
