Are the black series figures 3 3/4? I might need one or two of those.

 

Interesting that Chewie's package description mentions his "captain", but not Han Solo by name. Yep, Han Solo bites it. The Falcon is going to get a new captain, with Chewie still as first mate...

 

I'm all for Finn inheriting it if Rey isn't a Solo.

 

BB-8 starts with Poe but ends up with Rey, hence the packaging of the two together. It's like R2 and 3PO starting with Leia in the original Star Wars (1977). Hasbro seems to be using these preliminary descriptions across multiple product lines

At downtown Disney there is a store where you can build your own droid. This is from that.

i wonder if he is any relation to the MvS "Vicar" character, considering he is supposedly a big presence in the Jakku inhabitant hierarchy? The Vicar's law enforcer?

 

I think this guy tries to keep the peace in the market/trade area of Jakku that Rey frequents with her salvage stuff

 

I definitely gotta get my hands on that Kylo Ren Black Series figure!! Looks amazing

So far, I've gotten 2 Rey figures, a Kylo Ren, a Finn, and a Poe Dameron. Hoping to be able to get a Captain Phasma.

I imagine Hasbro is shipping a megaton of figures to retailers for Force Friday. Can't wait. I'm dying to know how much more merch will leak and show up online. I assume a bunch of stuff will randomly pop up in stores after Sept 4.

 

I hope no one perceived me to be dissing Cheadle (Hotel Rwanda is an all-time classic) or Boyega's facial attributes. I thought the one dislike on my post came from the guy who actually made the figure! HA!

My disdain for the figure isn't the likeness of Cheadle, or Boyega, but the pathetic attempt of making a custom Finn.

If one were able to go back to the "Thomas" and "Rachel" casting thread on TFN, They would see how much of a fan I am of Boyega's after Attack The Block. I remember that Boyega, Ray Fisher, Ed Speelers, Jesse Plemons, and some former British child star were in the final running for the role of "Thomas". I was 100% sure that Boyega would be chosen. I just had a feeling. A lot of people thought Plemons AKA Todd from Breaking Bad AKA Meth Damon was going to get the role. But I knew that Boyega would be a perfect JEDI after his role as Moses in Attack The Block. I just saw "STAR" written all over him. Much like my assessment of Hayden Christensen after Life As A House. I was right about Hayden, too. The difference being Hayden never recovered after Star Wars/Jumper. I think Boyega has the potential to be the next Idris Elba (Because he's British). I can see the similarities to a Young Denzel, as well.

But yes, I have been searching EBay for months for Force Awakens merchandise, including many custom figures. There's currently a custom Kylo Ren & custom Han up for auction. A few months ago, someone made a TFA Luke Skywalker, which was the best unauthorized figure I've seen. I tried to hit the creator of it up on EBay, only for him to tell me that he no longer had the necessary materials to make duplicates. I offered to pay for the materials AND for the final sale price of the figure, but he declined to make another. So somewhere out there, someone has a one-of-a-kind Luke Skywalker figure. I originally discovered it via JediNews, as one of their staff stumbled upon the auction. Too bad. I also hate that I'll likely have to wait to near the end of 1Q 2016 to get a TFA Luke figure. Here's hoping for the best, and not another Dagobah/Bespin Luke.

I also hope that one day we get a Kylo Ren figure that comes with a removable mask and the "melted" Vader helmet from Teaser #2 to replace it with. I'd buy that in a heartbeat!

I've never been too big of a fan of Lego's. I don't have the patience to sit there and follow the instructions to put them together, much like my malignant attitude towards those tabletop picture puzzles.

However, it's nice to see what playsets are out there. I hope we get that Black/Orange X-Wing in a Black Series model

 

Nah, I just figured you (Like myself) was not impressed by this attempt of a custom.

I decided to look on Bonanza, another auction site, to see if there were any Force Awakens listings, and came across some more flea market bootleg gold. I wouldn't pay $9.99 for this lot that's listed at $99. There's an individual X-Wing Pilot Luke going for $19.99

I just purchased a 6 figure lot of the new Hasbro figures:

First Order Stormtrooper
Rey
Darth Vader
Finn
Constable Zuvio
First Order Flametrooper

So now I have:
3 Rey's
2 Finn's
1 Kylo Ren
1 Poe Dameron
1 First Order Stormtrooper
1 Darth Vader
1 Constable Zuvio
1 First Order Flametrooper

I sat my niece and nephew down earlier tonight, and showed them pictures of the entire leaked set of figures. My niece wants Rey, my nephew wants The Flametrooper.

I'm going to re-sell 1 of the Rey's and 1 of the Finn's, in the hopes of getting a Captain Phasma before launch. Not too bad. I had a lot of fun going on the eBay hunt for these. And the thrill of getting something earlier than most people has always intrigued me. It's been fun - The chase of hunting these figures down reminds me of my resilience on the Topps SW Card Trader App. I feel like The Inquisitor hunting Kanan & Ezra. HAHA! "You have no idea what you have unleashed here today. There are things far worse than overpriced toys."

After I get my hands on Phasma and that Black Series Kylo Ren, I'm going to sit on the sidelines until movie accurate versions of Han & Luke are released. I have no interest in the Empire Luke or OT Vader or OT Boba Fett. I might even re-sell that Vader along with the duplicates I have.

I'll be glad to post pictures of any of the figures for my SW7N brethren, upon receiving them. Y'all keep me in the loop if you come across anything worthwhile!
