Blade Runner is better in every way (par maybe the score). Although listening to soundtrack on the way back from Cambodia yesterday, it's eerie and very reminiscent of its predecessor.

The cinematography in BR is mesmerizing, in IMAX it gave me goosebumps.

Also, SW is not sci fi - <insert gravity/bombing run from TLJ croc of blast scene> :D

That's indeed true for most of the droid shots, I also remember a feature where Lucas was showing Spielberg his life-sized battle droids for close up shots. If you look at the shots of Jedi taking out the droid on Naboo or droids being knocked over by blaster fire only their upper torso is shown in shot because there are literally two men below the shot pushing the droid to the floor or throwing the upper half into the air is as if it is cut in half.

The Lord of the Rings movies won because they were way better movies than any Star Wars movie since RotJ. I'm a Star Wars fan, but as a film fan I feel this is almost indisputable.
