That sound very interesting.Right NOW ANYTHING is possible @Pastor Barndog and MAYBE you have a nice point there. There are many topics that can be a real fact in this movie.Taking about December.....I was thinking.I like December because is x-mas or is because is SW movie time...?
Just joking....:p BUT a SW movie every year on December is my BEST x-mas present EVER...:D.

    Thanks.

I will say. I still want Jedi front and center and I don't want to see the Jedi take a hit in credibility. But it crossed my mind that they might want to separate types of spiritual expressions from a single system. Or show sects that specialize in powers that are foreign to each other. "I'm a Jedi, while I understand that the force allows the 'Wickerfolk of Derden to turn space-lead into space-gold I have not been trained in such secret arts."

If you are talking about magic as in powers and stuff well yeah I think Disney is going to blow that out of proportion in mostly all their new SW movies but if you refer to the magic feeling that the OT and PT gave us then I don't think so as Disney is on it's way to make SW just another multiple movie franchise with nothing special.

I guess I see it differently, but I thought there were several scenes in TFA that captured the "old SW magic"......Han describing Luke and the Force to Rey and Finn in the MF......Han and Chewie's "we're home"......the lightsaber flying into Rey's hand.....Poe leads his X-wings on the surprise attack at Takodana. Got goosebumps on those.

I have a strange feeling, I hope I am right, that TLJ will just completely blow us away.....I am talking just incredible SW "magic"....

I get what you mean my friend but it just didn't do it for me as it did for you as TFA was just filled with absurd things that just ruined those moments that could have been awesome. Take Han and Chewie's "we're home" as an example. Truly powerful moment if not for the fact that the Falcon was just laying there with no guards just waiting for Rey to steal it? And how did she know how to fly it in the first place? Unkar Plutt really sucks to the point that he makes the girl slave for scraps but he was so kind to give her flying lessons so that one day she could escape his grasp?

What about the lightsaber flying into Rey's hand? Would have been another awesome moment if I hadn't been bummed by the fact that Rey had just learned about the Force and she did on the fly what it took Luke three whole movies to learn. She was too much of a Mary Sue.

Starkiller battle being a clone of ANH Death Star battle, Lor San Tekka being some random nobody I could care less for when he got killed, Kylo Ren not having any amount of mystery to his character, Han's lame death, Luke being the center of everything just to appear constipated at the end of the movie and doing nothing, Leia walking by Chewie as if he wasn't there right after Han's death just so that she could hug a random stranger she hadn't met before...........

The list goes on and on. To many flaws that just ruined moments that could have really hit home.

And I'm cool with that my friend. The OP asked for our honest opinions and we have all given them. It's ok and perfectly normal for us to disagree on one point or another. Some think Boba Fett's the best while others think Cad Bane is so that's cool as long as we all love SW. :)

The SW Saga has always evolved, and that is why we are all still here 40 years later. While I don't agree with every direction the Saga has taken, I respect that it keeps us on our toes. It is amazing that a 2 minute teaser can leave so many questions and so much speculation as it's really fun to see how every interprets in their own way. I don't think the magic will ever be gone as long as we keep caring about the characters. I have watched countless YouTube videos of people's reactions to the Teaser, and it's cool that we can all feel like kids again.

Hey this is a beautiful thread!

I was very surprised with the books. Like "oh, a book in SW film!" I remember how they scaped paper in Attack of the Clones with that library full of blue panels.

The Jedi Logo on old paper, the sentence "is much bigger than that", the introduction of the Whills in Rogue One, Bendu in Rebels and the multiple canonical references and questions regarding the Unknown Regions, makes me think that yes, the magic of Star Wars is already expanding, and this film will be crucial to it.
