SPOILER The Mandalorian S3E8- Chapter 24, The Return

Films / tv shows are entirely subjective... I have no desire to change anyone's mind on how they feel or think about a film or a tv show, its a foolish endeavor to say the least. I respect and appreciate everyones opinion.

I would really like to see how people react if someone else played the Lizzo role. I have never listened to Lizzo's music, and I didn't know who she was until I watched the episode she starred in, and I knew instantly that certain Star Wars fans would dislike the episode and to my dismay I was right, to me she's like a Jabba the Hutt Queen, haha... everyone likes Jabba right? ...haha.

For some unknown reason I knew you had not watched John Wick 4, not surprised at all.

I see from your extravagant food analogy that you have completely abandoned your diet... I hope you had just one slice of your dad's poor choice of pizza.

Sticking to a diet is very hard, its not an easy task at all, so I'm not poking fun at all, I've grown to love eating healthy, and I break now and then but not too often.

The ladies keep me on track which is a good thing, I don't want to ever go back to a 45 inch waist' and 270 pounds. Learning to cook healthy is so much fun too.

Anywho, to step back to real life about martial arts, both my instructors are grand masters, they have mastered several martial art styles so a true warrior may use a tactic you may not have seen before.

when I ask stupid questions in class, my instructors show me moves I have never seen them perform in my ten years of training with them. it boggles the mind... they have both been training for over 50 years... i have allot to learn... anyway, Din can unleash a move we haven't seen before, he has been training since he was a foundling. Again, I'm not trying to change your mind, subjectively; I didn't think it was odd when he used those new moves to escape. I was fascinated... oh thats judo... oh that jiu-jitsu...

In closing... I'm not surprised that someone would want Finn to sacrifice himself and be removed from the equation. according to Boyega his role in TLJ felt like he was indeed removed. if he does return for the new Rey film, I hope that his return will be as amazing as Ahmed Best's return to the franchise. I hope he doesn't come back and say, RRRAAAAAYYY, ITS BEEN A LONG TIME, LOL... HAHA.

Her lines were not much different from the stuff Jennifer Beals said in TBoBF. Guess Jen's a better actress, huh?

It was a big flip-flop from what we got in TFA. For me, it felt like the Studio overreaacted to a potential romance many SW fans thought was developing between Rey and Finn.

It's more of the fact that Saturday is the family cheat day than anything else. My family still eats pretty healthy and doesn't encourage junk food on weekdays. In fact, fruits make up a majority of my diet these past few months (followed by poultry, bread, and then vegetables, much to my father's exasperation; I've lost weight and my blood pressure has vastly improved. Although my diet is more of one of necessity (thirty-minute lunch with multiple interruptions from students) than desire.

Yup, that's pretty common. But that doesn't mean that we can't call out the change in style when it occurs. It's like how if you watch Star Wars chronologically, we go from a gritty war film in Rogue One to a fantasy Hero's Journey in ANH. It's a big shift, as is Mando's shift in fighting style. Not unseen before, but it's new for the character.
THAT BEING SAID, I do need to recant. Looking back at previous seasons, during Mando's big fights, he does use kicks and more agile stunts. Not to the degree it is seen here AFAIK, and certainly not common, but it's not unheard of. My apologies.

 

Maybe the darksaber (a point a lot of people think is poor writing and pointless, etc) was destroyed on purpose to give an arc story to some characters to rebuilt it, that initially had no space in it. Luke, Armorer, Bo, Ahsoka... Or maybe another legendary weapon will be created.

Certainly destroy that easy one of the coolest weapons of the univers was surprising though.

I agree the Darksaber is a REALLY COOL weapon. But I would caution any fan who was depressed by its demise to 'hold your tears.' I firmly believe we haven't seen the last of it.

The blade served its purposed for the current storyline so Favreau and Filoni 'destroyed' it. But keep in mind there have been a number of classic stories which have involved the 'reforging' of a legendary blade. It will no doubt 'resurface' when some Star Wars writer has a compelling story to tell about its return. Just thinking about such a storyline gives me goosebumps---especially when I imagine who would be the natural Mandalorian to wield the reforged blade in the future.

When i find some more time, I'm gonna finish getting the proportions / angles right and tweak the blade so it looks more live action than cartoonish.

 

This is my second crafting... two diff techniques to produce each blade.

I will combine them and reduce the glow to finish this.... but I'm taking a break for awhile before going back in.

Also: If anyone has a favorite Sith (or Jedi scum for that matter) as their avy AND you'd like a dark saber swap out - send me the image (large as possible) and when I get going again, I'll change your blade. I can tint the highlights as well, so it can glow any color u want.​

 

Agree - we didn't see what happened with it, the crystal kyber could be used to reforge it, like Luke/Rey saber was after TLJ.
