The Mandalorian Season 3: Pedro Pascal and Katee Sackhoff Tease Epic Adventures Ahead

    The Mandalorian season 3 is the focus of the forthcoming issue of Empire Magazine, as the publication revealed recently. As part of their coverage, they are doing a 20-page write-up on the series that includes new images, concept art, and interviews with the cast and crew, among others.



    With the new issue hitting the stands on Thursday, February 16, the magazine has published an excerpt from their interview with Pedro Pascal (Din Djarin) and Katee Sackhoff (Bo-Katan), as well as a new image (see above). Said Pascal about the scope of the new season:

    As previewed in the trailer, both of their characters will have a lot to say to one another about the Darksaber, the Mandalorian culture, and even Grogu. Season 2 and everything we've seen so far from season 3 have set up Bo-Katan as one of the main antagonists in the new episodes, especially as we wait to see Giancarlo Esposito's Moff Gideon again -- we know the actor is still part of the show, and he's supposed to be a major player in the new adventure, but we haven't really seen anything from him yet.



    In other cool news from Empire and The Mandalorian, the magazine has also announced that VIP members will have the chance to attend a special in-person screening of an episode of The Mandalorian, followed by a Q&A with showrunner Jon Favreau, run by Chris Hewitt. To decide which episode they will be showing, they have set up a Twitter poll that includes Chapter 8 ('Redemption'), Chapter 13 ('The Jedi'), and Chapter 16 ('The Rescue'). It will take place in London on February 22.

    The fact that they's carefully AVOIDED Moff Gideon in any of the trailers is BUILDING my excitement. :) Why? Because I suspect Gideon's spectacular return after his prison breakout will be in Mandalorian armor. (boba fett) <------picture this in ALL BLACK :)

    Yes yes yes! My feelings exactly. His not being in any of the trailers feels like his return will be epic and the tease we got a few months ago about his shiny black and horned Maul-like Mando armor... Can. Not. Wait.

    I'm right there with you, MBWilson. :)

    I don't want to build up anticipation for something that's not going to happen. But when I heard that Moff is a Mandalorian and will have new 'armor' in Season 3, it just makes too much sense not to happen.

    I hadn't envisioned a black horned Maul-like helmet, but THAT makes total sense too! Can. Not. Wait. :)

    Yep. I think it was Giancarlo himself who dropped the tease, but he will be back in Season 3 and beyond and he would be wearing a shiny black Mando helmet complete with Darth Maul-like horns. I'm thinking he probably "acquired" some armor during The Purge and has been waiting for a chance to show it off. Such a weasely poser. Part of me thinks this season may see him back in possession of the Darksaber somehow.
