Actually I do think that part of this video is CGI, especially in the beginning. I think they combined a then unfinished model with CGI. The textures in the beginning don't look real to me. Anyone else or am I crazy? :)

It was made at the same time as the Greenham Common shoot. You can actually see the green hills in the background in the very first bit.

I think they went with the easiest way they could. Grabbed a toy Batmobile...painted it to match the Falcon...glued it on. Voila.

Yeah I agree that this is propably the GC set. But maybe at an earlier stage where the falcon (or rather the one half) was not yet finished so that the empty parts where filled with the help of CG. We've seen pictures of that state (see attachment). It's missing pretty much those parts that look "suspicious" to me. But my question is: Does the falcon in the video look completely real to your eyes? I don't mean this question to be offensive in any kind of way. I just want to know if it's ME.

I think it's "real", as in physical and not CG. I don't think it will ever be "finished", I think what we see from the aerial shots is as finished as it will get... it isn't a model, it's a set piece, and built for the camera shot. We have all seen the video where the director says he wants a shot of Driver on the ramp, this is the only ship I see on set with a ramp, I think we can safely assume Driver was walking on the ramp of the Falcon... the way it is built, clearly the ramp and side would be visable for that type of shot to be staged

I have absolutely no doubt that we will see a model being used in the film itself. It's been built for a reason :). I'm solely talking about this one clip where I think they completed it with the help of CG. Of course it may also be the lighting or the newer cameras but for the last part of the video with the details on the falcon and the Batmobile looks way more realistic and model-like than the first few frames.

But how come these shots look so different? This falke1.JPG looks way less physical and much more blurried (no, i don't mean motion blur) then this falke2.JPG and especially this: falke3.JPG

Is it just the lighting and/or the different cameras?
ANd let me note this before this takes an ugly direction: I don't want to troll or anything. I'm just interested and "worried" becaus I prefer the look of the Force For Change XWing video to the first image. XWing shot looks perfect to me. Falcon has this digital touch to it.
