In the PT they had to take on the Sith again but an unseen menace until ROTS

The OT was Vader and Palps and the DeathStar twice.

The ST has the Knights of Ren,7 of them and Snoke plus the Starkiller. That is a tall order for just Rey and Finn alone

Will there be more Jedi trained to help take them down?

    Hey Bluemilk,

I am not sure that there will be an actual Sith in these films. However, with Han saying "their real!" I would assume that it is possible. What does the EU or anything books have to say about SITH? Because you fall down the dark path does that automatically make you a Sith Lord?

    Good Post, lot's to discuss

Well I'm not really saying they are Sith,I'm just meaning it is a huge threat for just Rey and Finn by themselves.

But you're right. Falling to the darkside doesn't make you a Sith. I never read the EU,btw

I would say it depends on the time frame they use for episode VII, VIII and IX. If they only span, let’s say, 2-3 three years as in the OT, it will be hard to get fully trained Jedi at the ready. On the other hand, if they span over 10 years or more, why not having at least some Padawan or Knights. But they would have to start training right after TFA.

But I doubt that they would span more then 6-10 years overall. Else, they would have to age the main cast quite a bit.

But as there’s an awakening in the force, their might be plenty of force sensitive recruits popping up (available for both sides?!).

The EU has dark side users who aren't Sith. For example, Qui-Gon's apprentice before Obi-Wan.

I still think a lot of the questions we have about Snoke and some of the other characters, won't be revealed until Episode 8. This is only the first one in a new trilogy. We didn't find out that Luke was Vader's father until the 2nd movie. We didn't see Yoda until the 2nd movie. So there is a huge possibility that there are more Jedi that will be saved, especially with the casting details for an apparent Solo daughter. We haven't even scratched the surface with what this new trilogy could bring.
