The Official 2020 NFL Season Discussion Thread

I can't overstate how much I appreciate UrinatingTree's dry, biting wit.

I also want to point out that Pittsburgh hasn't won in Oakland since 1995. If they manage to mess it up this year, I doubt they'll ever get a second chance again.

 

I love our running game.

6 plays for 70 yards. Touchdown.

 

Honestly, with the way this game is progressing, I'm not even sure we need to pass that much to win. We just stopped a drive and after their failed field goal kick, we'll get the ball back at the 41-yard line.

Edit: Looks like passing is back on the menu, boys!

 

4th quarter. Tied up game. 11 minutes left to go. We have to have a long drive here and I think we can pull off a win.

Edit: That soft pass interference call on Crabtree might have just lost us the game.

Edit #2: Lamar just won the starting job with that touchdown pass.

 

I'm not one to complain about officiating, but it's been insultingly suspect this game all throughout. Also, how come every single miracle always happens against us these past few years? The last play of the season last year, the Tucker miss, the 47-yard 4th down completion. Something always comes to steal away a win.

It was a great outing by both teams, and beyond doubt a top 3 game of the year, but I can't help but feel it's been marred by some truly game changing no-calls and soft calls on either side.

Now pardon me as I go and eat some salt over there in the corner.

 

Yeah, I wasn't the biggest fan of those two calls. They really buried us when we needed those yards the most. The Chiefs had some awful penalties called on them in the first half as well, so I feel like the officiating just wasn't up to par for that game, regardless of which team you rooted for.

Sadly, I haven't watched this game as it predates my time as a Ravens fan. I never knew we came close to ruining the 2007 Patriots season. I guess the Giants got it done in the end, at least.

I had a good feeling that the Texans would not be able to sustain their streak for the full season, and the Colts seemed the perfect team to break it for them. Really proud of you guys getting it done.

I literally logged in just so I could post this, but I guess you beat me to it. I'm so glad I forewent sleeping for a couple more hours to witness this glorious fourth quarter meltdown. The Oakland Raiders, much as we like to pick on them, have shown a lot of heart tonight. Those final couple of catches were absolutely insane.
