I'd love if Maul slaughters all the Inquisitors.

Since the last time we saw him being tickled by Sidious lightning I can see that happening, the ''some use of him still'' maybe be called in some time soon that's if 7th sister & 5th brother fail.

Buffy voices seventh sister, and she has cool one liners. Nuff said.

Well, at this point it seems like the Inquisitors are given just enough training in the force and lightsaber combat to get the job done. I think Vader and the Emperor don't give them the tools to really achieve anything further, plus there's probably an element of fanatical brainwashing, just like the Emperor does with his Royal Guards. That being said, we do see that the Inquisitors jockey for prominence among each other, so its not out of the wheel house that we might get to see one overstep his/her boundaries at some point.

Inquisitors are former Jedi temple guards that got corrupted by the dark side? I hope this theory is true, it makes so much sense!

That was a very well thought out and convincing theory. Filoni's line about the Grand Inquisitor has had me scratching my head for quite some time as well.

Of course. I love how she voices Seventh Sister and her hubby, Freddy Prinze jr does Kanan. How much fun would they have at home with that.

I love how the unknown inquisitor, who hasn't been in an episode and only gets a few seconds of footage in the trailer, has more votes than 7th sister and 5th brother combined.

That was a pretty cool theory, though if the KOR are ronin iquisitors, then I hope they are a bit more accomplished by Ep VIII.

Fifth brother is a definitely all foam, no beer. I hope seventh Siter kills him soon, he holds her back.

I wasn't even aware of that statement so it's a nice surprise.

    Well that's because he didn't do anything stupid...yet :p

If KOR were former Inquisitors, I want them in Rebels now! These mofos look like they know what they're doing.

    SWAG (excuse my language)

...also Fifth Brother and the Unknown Fourth Inquisitor were based off of KOR concept art, subtle foreshadowing perhaps?

I used to like the Grand Inquisitor (GI) the best, but his death sorta ruined him a bit for me. I hated how he sorta gave up the fight with Kanan when Kanen had him beat and then he let himself fall into the reactor. Then there were his last words:

"You have no idea what you have unleashed here today. There are some things far more frightening than death."

Now I know he's not a Sith, but I thought a darkside wielder like the Grand Inquisitor would have a bit more fight and want to hang onto his own life a bit more than that, after all, in the words of Darth Bane:

“Honor is for the living. Dead is dead.”

But if you consider the above comments and aforementioned theory, they can take on added layers of meaning other than he just didn't want to face the consequences of his failure to capture the Rebels with Vader and the Emporer, and now Vader and more would be unleashed on the Rebels. Perhaps the GI could have alluded to the fact that some of the 'things far more frightening than death' included some of the methods the Emperor used to turn a Jedi Temple Guard to the darkside. The Grand Inquisitor does say "Compassion is the most insidious weakness of all." Perhaps his compassion was used to to torture him and turn him to the darkside and make him a tool of the Emperor.

Anyway, if the theory is true, I like him a bit better. If it's not, he should have fought harder to the end to save his own dark hide and not accepted his death so easily.

And yeah, I know I'm probably reading too much into it, but what the hey, I find it fun.

I really think that the "Grand Inquisitor was a Temple Guard" theory is spot on...

When Kanan enters the dojo, he is surrounded by a bright light which makes me think this encounter is some sort of dream sequence or vision, which would fit right in with this episode considering Ezra's communion with Yoda as well.

The original Jedi Temple Guards' look from the Clone Wars was different than their appearance in Rebels. To me, their current garb looks like a cross between the original Temple Guard costume and the Inquistor's costume.

Something about the posture and the way this guard moves in this clip reminds me of the Inquisitor. I think he is dead, no doubt, but I think this was his origin and that the Emperor got control of the Temple security (which is why they don't contend with Vader during the sacking of the temple), and the former guards became servants of the Empire. I don't know how this will play out, but I'm super excited about this next episode.

Seconded. I'd love to learn how he became an Inquisitor and got the red tattoos.

Yup, so I like the Grand Inquisitor a lot more now.

But I still think Seventh Sister is getting cooler by the minute, and so needs to ditch that numbnut Fith Brother. He's just dead weight.

So do people have more theories on where Seventn Sister and Fifth Brother came from? Obviously took slightly different paths than GI.

It would be cool to see a duel with Vader versus the Inquisitors. Vader would win, of course, but I think it would be a fair fight... What do you guys think about the revelations from Shroud of Darkness?

I was rewatching Season 1 and I noticed something (and I cannot believe that I missed it before). When Kanan is captured and being interrogated by the Grand Inquisitor and Tarkin:

The Force technique that the Grand Inquisitor uses is VERY similar to the one that Kylo Ren uses on Poe and Rey in TFA. And the interrogation table that Kanan is strapped to is even similar to the one(s) from TFA as well.

I wonder if that was intentional/foreshadowing in any way?

While I prefer the Grand Inquisitor, it's fun to watch 7th Sister and 5th Brother together. I like how Sis is the brains and Bro is the one to say cliche lines.

I actually think they are doing a lot of foreshadowing, in addition to warming the fans up to certain ideas that might come into play in the ST.

Off the top of my really sleep deprived brain:

*Initially with the Inquizitorious, getting audiences more used to Sithy type bad guys that aren't Sith.

*Expansion of the idea of Force users having different talents, in particular Ezra's ability for force connection, albeit more so with animals. There has been speculation about Rey having a heightened ability with force bonding, and that one may have been created with Kylo via the interrogation that she utilizes to have that steep learning curve and defeat of Kylo.

*More arthurian themes and knighty stuff, like with how the GI actually knighted Kanan with his saber.

*More focus on Jedi temples, and how they might work as a plot device.

*An exploration on Jediness, in terms of looking at how they 'choose to win' and when and how they may fight, and when withdrawal may be the best course of action to take. And really, wouldn't we all like to understand better the deeper reasoning behind hangen at a cave in Dagobah for years, or sitting on a rock in the ocean for ages...
