SPECULATION The Return of the Jedi Order

The sooner the GFFA does away with Force groups/clans the sooner the GFFA haves peace.

In all seriousness, what percentage of human wars have been fought, at least as perceived publicly, over differing religious views? One could at least argue that religion has been a (notice I didn't say the only) root cause of considerable conflict in our world... Arguably, the same is true of the Force.

I once pitched an idea for the "FT" if set 100s of years pass the ST.

Basically......


An anti-Force group rises to power scapegoating all of societies ills on Force users.

They must be "sterilized". In response all Force groups light, dark and grey ban together 2 survive.

 

I would love to see a post IX TV Series of young Jedi trying to rebuild by searching the galaxy for old Jedi Relics, Holochrons, data and even force sensitives. Of course they would also find Sith relics and info along the way.
You could have smugglers smuggling artifacts, politicians and planets hiding information and relics not to mention planets with hidden temples etc...

You could also have a young group of dark users doing the same for the Sith...

 

Sounds a bit like an X-Men movie I saw once...

But I do think there could be an anti-Force storyline inserted in Star Wars somewhere...

 

Sounds like a pretty interesting idea, but it doesn't sound all that radically different from the Galactic Empire, apart from the fact that they were cool with 2 particular Force users. I wouldn't mind seeing Maul and Ahsoka team up to fight the powers that be, though, along with maybe Obi Wan. Then you'd really have your Light, Dark, and Grey.

 

in an interesting way i think this is something they are playing with in the ST: not in terms of ridding the galaxy of the Force, but in terms of reconciling the Dark and the Light into a single balanced power.

 

I'd be very, very worried about an ancient/extinct ideology surfacing again, especially if it deals with something as delicate and dangerous as the force. If I heard the stories Rey has heard, and seen what she's seen, I'd destroy the map to Luke and get as far from the Skywalkers as humanly possible. If absolutely necessary, I'd look for a teacher who is willing to teach the force as it is, dark/light. I wouldn't want to hear one word out of an extremist's mouth. Particularly from Luke, who was Kylo Ren's teacher. Knowing that he fell to the dark side as a fully trained Jedi, I'd be terrified of what this order can do to force sensitives.

But hey, we know that the Jedi are the good guys, this is just me rambling

Jedi Order 66?!

 

I never understood the need for the Jedi to exist again. Is it really that improbable for Force users - good or bad - to exist without the Jedi or Sith?

 

I'd like the idea that there are a small group of Jedi in hiding with Luke's son/daughter. I've also been drawn to the idea that by episode 9, Poe and Finn become Jedi and we have a small Jedi team for episode 10. Either all under Luke, or Luke/Rey, Finn/Maz & Poe/Leia.
