    Call me crazy, but I'm totally kosher with things being made up as they go along. Not for nothing it's called the creative process. I mean the most basic framework might be nice to have in mind ("note to self: the good guys eventually win.") , but being able to create on the fly, see what works and what doesn't work is a cool component. Even fan input....not direct input, but GL had to know that ESB is the consensus favorite even though not the unanimous favorite.

    With that information in mind, you would think TPM could have been toned down on the 'kid factor' just based on what fans gravitate towards. Not to say he can't make what he wants, but dude zigged when I expected a zag.

    I've got a 2 year old and my thoughts are to watch them in this order I, II, IV, V, III, and VI. That way the reveal in V is still an Oh Crap moment.

    I read a thing today that says the best way to go is 4, 5, 2, 3, 6. Leave out 1, not because it's bad (it's bad) but because it really does nothing to add to the story. And only minimally is it referenced later.

    This way you get the 'I am your father' moment, THEN the back story behind that which makes Vaderkin all the more horrible, THEN the finale to complete the saga.

    Well..... to complete the saga up until Oct 2012 hit us. I read something about more saga somewhere.

    i started reading this thread and i thought the same exact thing: start at 4, 5, 6, then do the prequel trilogy (if you have to). personally, as i've said on other threads, i think episodes 1 & 2 are so lackluster that one may simply not watch them and still enjoy the story arc. i suppose you'd be missing a couple of coolish characters and some good fight sequences, but whatever! a small price to pay for your integrity lol
